tune is not necessary. i ran long tubes for over a year on my v6. you just get an annoying CEL, but it doesn't hurt the car at all. it's basically telling you the rear o2 sensors are running rich because of the high flow cats or no cats, depends on which route you go. but the car is not running any differently.

tune will only help squeeze more power with the increased airflow, and get rid of the CEL

with a tune, you'll see around 40hp.
