well, some people think you don't need both. i used both just to be cautious. it doesn't hurt, lets just put it that way. the promoter goes on clear, where the primer goes on white or black. helps the base coat be more even, and sometimes pops more if it's being sprayed on a white surface, and a tad darker on black surface.

i believe the primer is white, from automotive touchup.

They actually have different colors. I selected the red one, so should I take that off and add white?? I'm spraying the panels red so it might be brighter on white, no?!?!

a red primer? i don't know, it should be fine. red on red. i think it will turn out great either way. it's up to you. red or white
