Whores. Considering jumping ship and moving into an LS2 GTO this year.

The fourthgen is rapidly approaching 100k and it is starting to give me problems. Nothing too major, but I've been nickel and dimed to death by a car before and I'd like to avoid it this time. I don't think I can swing a 1ss at this moment without eating ramen for the rest of my life, so a 2006 GTO looks like the next best thing for me. 400hp, six speed, and comfy IRS seem like a major improvement over my Z28 (as a DD, that is). I'm looking around and they can be had for 15-17k. Thoughts?

Thinking about that too, but the G8's seem to be going UP in price as collector's items while the GTO's are somehow going down. I'll admit it looks like a grocery getter, but the LS platform is familiar territory for me to work on, it's gotten great reviews, and it looks super comfy! It looks like it would take only minor boltons to keep up with the SS's.

DO EEET!!! I would love to have a GTO. I know a lot of people think they look bland, but I've always liked them, and they can scoot too!!

Before I orderd the Camaro I was close to getting a Silver GXP with red interior.
It looked amazing.
If you can find a Stryker Blue GXP, you've found the holy grail.

I'm one of those people that think it looks bland, but there is something cool about a grocery getter that can kill you at a red light. It's like a factory built sleeper

Thanks for the input guys. I started doing my taxes last night, so it got me thinking about my 2011 finances. I think getting out of my Z will save me in the long run.
