No LS Fest for me this year, but I am interested in the "Michigan" thing they are talking about. It would depend on dates ....I'm sure they will tell us by August....geesh.

Not sure about 2017, will have to see how far "West" they are talking about. We may fly out and rent a car. Did that for Phoenix and had a blast. So many people offered their cars for me to drive on the track, truly amazing people in our group.

I can't afford to miss school, without even knowing my schedule. And plus, I'll be a month away from graduating

They were aiming for april. For Baytown fest, it was the week prior to finals, so I wasn't missing anything. And plus, it's gonna be out west, not too keen on making that drive.

FLY. I know what you are saying. I mean I would love to go, and planning on going..but I need more specific location and dates to finalize anything.

Is West CA, NV, AZ, OR, ID, SD... or for me IL.

I don't think I can afford to fly. Don't wanna put that on my dad. Especially with graduation nearing. Hoping to get a new car.

I understand racergirl. If it is going west in 2017, it will definitely be back our way in 2018.

I'll be 22 or 23 depending on when it'd be. Damn... I'm getting old

How long should it take to remove the head on one side of an LS3? Trying to figure out how long it'll take because I think I should get this lifter out and replaced soon

Thinking an hour to get the head ready to pull (coil packs, mounting bracket, valve cover, rockers and push rods off), maybe another hour or two to take off the intake manifold, hour or less to remove the exhaust manifold/cats and then an hour to remove the head, gasket and then the lifter tray and then reverse. So like 4.5-5 hours to get in?

Ah and draining the coolant/oil in during that process as well.

Yeah west will be a long drive. Looks like I'll be having this car for a while unless something happens.
