Hank: Just calling to see if you guys had a chance to look at the car?
Shop: Yes we did, and we are looking into what options you will want to take. As it is the bushing. Oh, and the back tires are worn, you can see the treads on it. It's the trailing arm bushings, so you can replace the bushing or the whole arm. I will see what we can get. (like BMR, Detroit Speed, etc.)

That is when I stopped reaching for the cash, and started looking at the credit card...hehehehe. I knew I was going to need tires this year, not a shocker. So I told them were I got my last ones if they were not able to get them. I love those tires in wet/rainy weather, they grip awesome. So we will see what my options are. I am definitely not one to always go the cheap way out. That way, is sometimes more expensive in the long run.
New car parts are always fun. Did the pedders bushing just die from age or did you not replace that one?

Fellow young guns, this is a bit off topic but toss some prayers/good vibes or whatever my way. A position came open locally to where I can actually use my college education. Hoping I get it, would mean a large increase in the quality of life.

I believe it's the Pfadt trailing arm bushings. Trailing arms were one of the first mods on the car, so probably just worn out with heavy launching of the car over the past 5 years. I am okay with that, but adding the cost of new rubber wasn't in the budget, but I guess it is now. Just part of the cost of having fun and enjoying the car.

Guess you should just part ways with your supercharger. I'll take it off your hands. Then no more hard launching issues! YAY.

Other than the launches how many miles do you think were on the trailing arms?

Definitely thought I saw pedders in your signature lol but that reminds me my car also needs new rubber. And potentially a lifter on cylinder 8...

So has anyone seen that they now have fireball but in a box/bag? I just saw a picture of it this morning and I can easily see a bunch of people taking slap the bag too far now

I probably have 30k on the trailing arms/toe rods. They are being upgraded to "racing" quality so we don't do this again in 4-5 years. Some solid aluminum pieces.

Oh, and the Vredestein Sessantas are not made anymore, so it's not just two tires I need, but a whole set now.. my wallet hates me now.

Nope, keeping the s/c for a while longer, at least till I get the cam and new gears.

I have Pedders subframe bushings, Pfadt trailing arm and BMR toe rod. Nothing wrong with the subframe bushing. I am upgrading the trailing and toe rods.

I like to complain, but it's all in fun. I enjoy pushing this car when I get the opportunity, and the wife love to push it just as hard. So it's really cheap upgrades in the long run to get more and more fun out of it.

Smorgasbord of suspension pieces! So what tires are you going to get?

more than likely, 100% the Vredestein Vorti's. Based on a lot of research this morning, they are a step up from the Sessanta's in Dry and Wet conditions.

I definitely want something to handle extreme wet conditions, as we travel a lot across country. I can remember going through the Appalachian mnts a couple years ago, and it was raining so hard, you could barely see the car in front of you. Water flooding the road, traffic moving about 40 mph and the car did not even flinch. She was stuck to the road, as about as tight as my butt cheeks were clinched to the seat. I have never had a set of tires perform that good, in those conditions. The Vorti's are supposed to be even better in wet conditions (along with improved traction in Dry conditions).

Things aren't looking to great about the internship I wanted. I will officially know by Friday, but I'm not keeping my hopes up.

Trust that if you don't get it, you weren't supposed to have it.

That being said, I know it's hard to be in that position. I had completed my internship, then the Fed's put on a hiring freeze..so I successfully completed my program yet the promised job just kind of...shriveled up and blew away.
