That's awesome, especially for a HS trip! I'll go someday, armed with a camera and good walking shoes. I'm hoping to get a chance to take a trip somewhere next spring/winter.

Lol, I only had a disposable camera for my Hawaii trip 10 years ago. If I go back and look at those pics, I'm sure they look crappy too, lol.

It actually changes quite a bit. It goes from being green and hilly in the east, to dry and flat, to dryer and mountain-y out west. Go far enough west, and it's almost desert territory. I-10 is just a boring road since it's a straight shot through the state without many cities along the path.
