Did they post HP and torque numbers? I think the 2.7 will be the FE special and "may" not deliver the great drivability and performance everyone is posting about above.
From everything I have read online which at this point is still all rumors, no official numbers have been released yet. The way Ford has worded it is that the 2.7 will be as capable as "mid range V-8s". I believe I read somewhere they suggested it would be able to tow 8K pounds, I will have to double check that, again that might have been from the rumor mill.

While GM boasts about the Nuremburgring for its performance cars, Ford boasts about the BAJA 1000, they stuffed a 2.7 Ecoboost in a 15 F-150 with a 14 body bolted up to it and finished the race. So apparently they wanted to make sure it still had teh power to used in a truck.

My fear when I heard they were thinking about a 2.7L Ecoboost for the F-150 was that it would suffer the same fate as the 2.0 Ecoboost in the explorer, might get good gas mileage but if you need it to do anything other than move people it sucks. Looks like that is why they did the BAJA 1000 test with it, to prove it still has enough power for truck use.

I would guess somewhere around 320HP and 350ish or so on the torque.

The Ford Ecoboost ran a sub 7 minute lap at the Nurburgring last summer but, full disclosure, that was with the AC off and tailgate DOWN.

A stock Ecoboost F150 will not beat a stock V6 5th Gen in the 1/4th mile. Ask me how I know.

You right my ecoboost stock was running 14.50s. Less than 300 bucks later I was running 13.70s. Now with my dp you better have nitrous or Fi to race my 6k lbs truck

According to this you ran a 13.93 with a tune. The fastest stock V6 on this site ran a 13.96. You ran 13.28 with bolt ons and a tune where as the fastest bolton V6 ran a 13.42. But the fastest overall on this list is a 12.58 with a slew of mods and nitrous but our fastest bolt on plus nitrous V6 is 11.84. Once you add turbos to the V6 Camaro it is game over.

Lol this is one of my favorite threads.

You do understand that we have bunch of guys with tune only running 13.40s.

Here is some math

Used Sct device 250
Tune 150
400 bucks mid to low 13s full size 4 door v6 3.5 with 2 baby turbos.

Name another full size truck that can do that???
