I dunno. I reserved a spot to buy an SS last year but somehow I can't see myself shelling out $45K for it. It's not like the Camaro or the Vette that makes me say "I MUST have this car."

One thing you won't see a ton of them on the road. I bet I have only seen about a dozen G8s and some have probably been the same one more than once.

Where I'm from, it seems like for every Camaro SS seen on the streets here, there are 10 non-SS. Now it makes sense that the Camaro SS was never meant to be a high-production car. Makes me value my SS a lot more

I was talking about the Chevy SS being low production. The Camaro SS is not a low production car. There are a bunch around here.

My bad! Well, not around here they aren't (Camaro SS) . Big distance in price between an RS and an SS.

We probably won't even see the Chevy SS. It may be a Caprice for the Middle East. It would make sense for us, since there was never an Impala SS released here, but the Caprice SS was. Just an Impala SS with Caprice in its place with Impala logos.

FYI the RS can also be an SS. If you have a V6 it's either a 1LS, 2LS or 1LT, 2LT. RS is just an option package available on the LT's or SS's or even the ZL1, not a separate model. Since you have a 2SS/ RS you should already know that.
People need to stop referring to the V6 as just RS.

It's nice but i would rather have the charger. The charger ooze's with character which many cars lack these days.

Yes, the Charger has some "attitude" that this SS is lacking.

But some people want a little more refinement. That's the big reason why we bought the Audi S4 instead of the ATS. It's a little more refined and less bold than the Cadillac. But with the SC V6, Active Differential AWD and better brakes, the ATS just can't keep up. For some of us it's what the car can do more than how it looks.

But hopefully there is a solid market for both the Fiat and GM products.

Sorry for offending you. Here in Kuwait, it's either an RS or an SS. The RSs all have V6s. This is my first Camaro, so forgive my ignorance of Camaro jargon.

True. We won't see a lot of them on the road but not for the right reasons...

My initial thoughts:

Attractive car, but was hoping for a tad more aggression in the styling. Headlights and tail-lights seem a bit soft for a car that is supposed to be about performance and is so unique.

I like the interior.

Looking forward to seeing how it actually performs.

Overall, its basically an improved G8...which isn't a bad thing I guess right? I just can't say its a home-run though.

I don't think it really looks much if any better than the G8 GXP. Hell, the side of the car, aside from the air vent is exactly the same.

Not sure how this one is going to work out for GM, but as always I hope it is a success.

Completely agree. Its a good looking car, but looks sort of like a been there, done that before.

Agree with some other statements about it not having quite the character of say, the Charger SRT8.
