I'm LOVING iOS6. You can do all the cool stuff the iPhone5 does without having to buy the new one! Like updating Facebook from your homepage and whatnot. I dig it.

I know I said I wouldn't buy an iPhone 5 as I didn't want to be charged for a 4g or LTE plan amongst other reasons... I broke down and bought the i5 last week because I needed a new phone ask mentioned previously so why not go with the latest and greatest? Turns out I would not be charged anything extra for 4g/LTE even (even though we don't have it in my area)
Long story short, I hate this thing and will be returning it tomorrow or Monday. My gripes (1) battery life sucks! I don't think I use it that much, and rarely make calls but I can't even get ~6 hrs of use before it needs to be plugged in. (2) reception seems worse with my old iPhone 4. I'm well aware of the iPhone 4 antenna problems, and I still never had a dropped call with my old 4. I've had more dropped calls in the last week with this 5 than I had I. The last couple years w/ my 4. I get no reception with the 5 where places I had reception with my 4. (3) the wifi antenna seems weaker? I could get farther away from any wireless router with my 4 then this 5... Places I could normally be on wifi with the 4, the 5 doesn't even pick it up. (4) iOS 6 seems very buggy to me. What do I like about it? The only thing I really like about it is that it can be taken apart from the front like the old 3G/3GS, which makes screen and speaker repairs easy, unlike the 4/4s which has to be completely disassembled from the rear (which sucks!)... I hate trying to repair a 4/4s, so the fact that the 5 could be easily repaired without disassembling the entire phone was nice, but not a deal breaker... I'll either take this back and trade it in for a 4s, or I might try to get a new 3GS for .99 cents w/ a contract renewal just so I can easily repair it I the future. Just my experience. |

I returned my iphone5 and got a galaxy note 2. It pwns the iphone in so many ways.
It took a while to get comfortable with it after having iphones for like 5 years, but it's awesome now. sent from my Note2 using Tapatalk |

I have another year on my Note 1 but it is an awesome phone, just not as fast as the Note II, I have heard that the new Note is awesome as well, maybe I will upgrade to that when the time comes, till then this original note rocks. I am also looking to pick up a Note 10.1 those things are nice

Love my 5. It does pretty much everything an iPhone has done only better.
I have an Android based phone for work. The interface just flat doesn't do it for me. iPhone is much more intuitive. That being said, there are reasons why not everyone has an iPhone (even though it seems like it). I agree that there are features in the Android based phones that people who want the latest and greatest get that Apple has never delivered on. Just my opinion...... Apple is about the experience, Android is about the technology. And that easily explains why there are two camps.

If you are only getting 6hrs battery life with mild usage then it seems like you got a dud - I use mine pretty heavily and easily get through a full day with one charge - just charge it up over night

The note 2 pwns the note 1, you will love it when you get it. The dual window thing is awesome, the 2 is more comfortable in your hand (a smidge smaller), better battery, way faster...there is something else I'm forgetting. The iPhone feels like a toy now :-) I am mad at myself for not opening my eyes to androids earlier

So now I am starting to reconsider upgrading in a year but then again we are talking about another year and who knows what will happen by then (possibly a Note 3?) I have NEVER had any issues with my Note and I am the type of person who goes by the "if it aint broke, dont fix it" mindset. Either way I feel you cannot beat a Note 1 or 2. I never messed with an apple product until today when I was checking out my mother in laws Ipad, ya it has a cool factor, but it felt and handled like a little kids toy, I wouldnt mind having one but I think I would get bored with it in a hurry, I imagine the Iphone operates the same way.....nope! wont have it!
