First off, its a nice car.

Doesn't the Challenger also weigh more?

The Camaro SS should have an advantage in every performance category.

Congrats on the car man! I've seen a hemi orange R/T and SRT in my town, and both looked incredible in person. Definitely head-turners. I'm sure you'll love the experience.

Here are the dimensions for Challenger, Camaro, and 05-09 Mustang GT.

(note the the C&D road test of the Challenger R/T manual listed the weight at 4164 lb, but I went with the weight listed in the C&D spec sheet for the R/T):

Challenger R/T

length 197.8"
width 75.7"
height 57.0"
wheelbase 116.0"
weight 3937 lb

2010 Camaro SS M6

length 190.4"
width 75.5"
height 54.2"
wheelbase 112.3"
weight 3860 lb

Mustang GT

length 187.6"
width 73.9"
height 54.5"
wheelbase 107.1"
weight 3510 lb

Thanks again everybody. Bottom line I think we're all car enthusiasts and that's what counts.

I don't particularly blame GM per se' for the dealers not honoring the GSU discount I was eligible for as I've learned the dealerships are independent franchises. However, I do think GM could have put more pressure on dealers to accept those. Kind of insinuated they should in a manner of speaking.

The EPP+ on for Dodge vehicles was optional for dealers as well. The Dodge website said so in plain English. However, I went to three different dealers before deciding on the Challenger and all three were accepting ALL the discounts no questions asked.

Also, when I called the "Chrysler Incentive Hot Line" I was on the phone with an American representative within 3 minutes who quickly answered every question I had and even gave me some tips when making the purchase to insure every discount was included.

All in all it was a very impressive buying experience.

I don't know how GM could solve the problem on their end, but they really should do something. Had I recevied the GSU discount initially, I'd have never started looking at a Challenger to begin with as I've always been more partial to Chevy.

Hey, be nice. He bought a fantastic car, still (North) American, and he's going to enjoy it. That's really the bottom line. Yes, GM lost a sale, but Speedy's happy- and he should be. Give him his moment.

When he goes bankrupt he can cry the blues all the way to the unemployment line. This company has to get it through its THICK HEAD that just because you have resurrected a nameplate from the past, doesn't mean EVERYONE is going to pay top dollar, just to get one. I notice GM is looking 5ft down the road, instead of 5yrs down the road. Do what it takes to get the sales today, and the rest will fall into place on it's own, and you may once again become a profitable company .
Before everyone jumps down my throat, I can say that I have only owned GM vehicles in my, life, and it's time this company looks at the competition (Big 3 only) and becomes competitive. My dad defected away from GM 5yrs ago, to the import market, which shocked the heck out of me, as he was a true GM believer, but got tired of the poor service & product quality that was being put out. DON'T LOSE MORE LOYAL CUSTOMERS!
You my friend are so right,GM use to be No.1. I can remember some of the best looking cars came from GM but not today. They made a come back with the GTO but lack of intrest killed it.

You think the GTO styling looked good? That was my only complaint with the '06 I owned. The styling was definitely dated.

I would think if they had called it a Chevelle SS and changed the front and rear styling they would have sold a ton of them.
