I looked at a few Mossberg but I'd read that they have a tendency to break compared to Remington or Browning. How do you like yours?

I don't know where you've read that. LMFAO.

There's a reason why the military uses mossbergs. I haven't had an issue with mine in two years. About 100 shells every other week.

P.S. - Not trying to say Remington or Browning aren't good firearms, but Mossberg/Maverick are awesome too.

This is what I read but after going through it again I saw that they were referring to the plastic safeties of the Mossbergs. That's what happens when you skim through stuff.

The MN zoo isn't bad if you want a non-cheddar based road trip

Ah. LMAO. My maverick has just a standard push-though trigger guard safety. A little slower to engage/disengage than the mossberg one, but virtually bulletproof. The only other difference is that the mossberg has a "nicer" blued finish than the blued finish on the maverick. They look the same to me.

I paid 230 before FFL transfer fee. Ordered online.

Awesome! Road tripping is the best in the Camaro.

I don't own a gun, but I do have a baseball bat within burglar-murdering distance.

Cute. Our home is "out in the sticks", so I have a 9mm Beretta for safety (along with two labrador retrievers). I also have a concealed weapons permit - so, I'm good. Hope I don't have to use it, but I'm confident in loading, handling and shooting now instead of being scared shitless and not even knowing of where the safety is.

I'm planning on applying for my CCW sometime this summer. I'm going to carry a .38 special revolver.
