Wish somebody would clean house here with those guys.....

Instead of worrying about Camaro Scotty's good bye post

The .40 has plenty of power to knock somebody down too, trust me.

If she really wants to learn handgun, go spend a couple hundred bones on a Buckmark .22 or similar. This way she can learn the basics of sight picture, trigger squeeze, etc without the recoil. And ammo is much cheaper, so she can plink all day long and you don't need a 2nd mortgage. LOL.

Although the 22c doesn't really kick at all, and the bang of the .40 is much more satisfying than the pop of a .22.
I would take your word for it. I KNOW you know what you're talking about. I would much rather the .40 over the .22 personally. Hell, I could just buy her a small .22 of her own.

Ya okay. that's the best solution then. get one for her too, and get the .40 for yourself.

How hard is it to get a handgun there in good old CA?

Not as easy as some states with all their lovely laws. If I'm not mistaken, the mag can't be any more than a 10 round mag but that's just what I was told. I've downloaded their handgun laws and plan on reading up on it while I get the money together for the purchase.

I do too. I generally play a round between 4 - 4.5 hours and I'm not good.
