just saw that now, i dont see the point of debating it besides giving potential owners some information in the coarse of the debate. information they could have gotten from just a little searching around in the forums. otherwise debating it is pointless

P.S. - And I'm still doing the V6 vs V8 debate in my own head, too. LMFAO.
Heh, not me.

I think the OP started it specifically to debate, and then couldn't handle it. Lol, "only one second faster".

do insurance companies look at how many cylinders a car has, or how much HP it is rated at when giving you the price for the insurance??

Eg two cars, both have around 320 hp. 2010 v6 and some older model camaro with a V8 near 320 hp (dont remember which) would the insurance also be around the same for both?

They look at a lot of things. Number of cylinders, whether is the "performance" model (regardless of engine type or power), overall power, value of the vehicle, average driver of that type of vehicle, accident statistics, etc.

No, a new V6 camaro would not necessarily have the same insurance costs as an older V8 camaro. Partly because the new camaro has better safety features (point in the new camaros favor) and partly because the old camaro is less valuable (point in its favor) and the list can go on and on.
