I just used pliers and broke the little "arms" holding the nubs. 10 mins at most. I then just sanded to make it smooth

You got this Kevin. you did the headers so this should be much simpler from what I have been told.

I'm really stuck on what my next bigger mod should be. I'm deciding between rims, BBKs, or maybe suspension. Or I might see if MGW has a Black Friday sale and just do a short throw till I can afford my rims.
