After March, the only debt I'll have left is my car loan, but its a credit builder so it can stay

Lol yes it will start and run properly. The mechanic said I should replace all of the springs with aftermarket springs and avoid using the GM ones because of potential failures. Any advice there? Kinda thinking OEM springs are made to last longer than aftermarket right?

Probably a good idea. I've already PM'd JDP about it as well. Some research lead me to see that some guys with C5 ZO6's upgraded to PAC 1218 springs on their stock motors so it might work.

Yeah waiting to see what he says about it but so far JRE and Dynosteve both said it's perfectly fine to run the stiffer springs on my motor. Waiting on JDP and Performance Springs Inc to see what they say.
