It honestly doesn't bother me. I've seen clones before and I don't find it "appaling" like many do. I think the only person who might be embarrassed from it is the actual owner of the car when someone asks what you've done to your zl1. My friend bought a Shelby clone from another mutual friend who was selling his car. The car sounded amazing but of course wasn't as fast. He was the only one who would get embarrassed because people would come up to it all the time and ask what he'd done to it. Or real Shelby's and highly modified cars would challenge him all the time. Although it did give me some extra material for ribbing

since the crowd age for this group (camaro5 in general) is over 45 years old. I would say most don't street race. The ones that are under 30. most probably do. lol it's still not everyone.

how I get the average age of c5, I went to 2 fests, so I think that's a good gauge. lol
You'd think that with the average age being that, people would have thicker skin.

I think the one's that don't, are the younger crowd. but I could be wrong.

I understand the point people try to make, that if you post something on an open forum, you should expect some negativity, but then again, the people posting about what they've done, are happy with it, and are just sharing. Not needing to be accepted or needing attention. So why bash or be negative?

I don't really care what others do, with their car. If I don't care for something, i'm not going to go in their thread and ruin it by being negative. unless they are a close friend, and I am just giving them shit. lol

You might be right. I'm part of the younger crowd but I've heard a lot worse than what's said on threads. From my friends we give each other crap all the time. All in good spirits though

I don't get into debates here cuz I'm the kind of guy who can take negative comments but will say a worse one in return and most on here would probably cry about it
