Although their street z kit is a real bargain. All the reviews say it makes a big difference. You can always pm Pete so he can go over your goals and what's best for you

Well here is the news yall have been waiting for. This will be along post.

First off, LMR did it for free and they gave me a trifecta cable and software so i can datalog for free. There is a long story behind why its free but dont worry haha.

Their tuner at LMR built my tune, his name is Stephen, and he hand built the tune to be what he thinks the tune should look like for our LLT and auto for specific. I have pictures to back everything up but i have been extremly busy with school so i haven't had time...thats why i waited.

But here are the gains. Now everyone knows, a different day...i different dyno. I previously dynoed at LMR at 263 the last time i was there but i have dynoed 285 at a different place after...but today at 97 degrees and at 1pm, if that even matters, i pre dynoed at 261 whp and about 250 torque. After about 15 min to let it cool down and tune installed... i made 275 whp and 253 torque at a AFR at 12.9 which was steady after 3k rpm. Now the tuner was not in when i took mine in so tweaks could not be made. I can still desensitize the knock sensors, which i didnt do really. I am coming in next monday to retweak the tune because i think there is still some more to have.

The bad news is, i have a little problem with my torque converter which was throwing a lockdown code. Now im not sure what this may be but i might be in the plans to get a 3200 stall converter. Plus, its proven to gain about almost .5 in the quarter mile! But regardless, i still have another slight issue that JROD will be taking care of this friday because of a weird squeak that comes on while driving which was only when i decelerated but nows its kinda all the time.

So that was the bad news. I got a CEL for my cats again...which was because they thoght they turned them off but didnt haha but regardless monday i am coming in

I like the tune, but nothing is in stone till trackday where the gains will be seen. They even gave a suggestion of vararam owner to remove the filter at the track... theyve seen an extra tenth or so with it off on other vechicles so i may try that.

Regardless, for my price, even if it wasnt free at 275... this was a good call. Problem is i have some other issues amplifying and I am a perfectionist that likes shit done right and work right so i need to figure out this squeal coming from the back of the engine toward the transmission. Im not sure if a faulty torque converter could cause that... i have got quite a bit of random accelerations around 2k rpm for no reason right when i shift. Maybe someone with knowledge can tell me but yeah. Theres my long post. I sit at a decent HP and tQ gain from a LMR Dyno Tune.

yayyyy :p

Ok so before tweaking, a 15 hp and 3 to gain? That's not too bad. Seems about what trifecta gives normally. Hopefully they can get a bit more with some tweaking.

A converter would be great but what converter are you talking about because I've yet to see any give results. I was going to pursue a custom converter in the future but that's a while ahead. Hoping we can get some results from a converter. I feel like it'd net a decent gain if we could ever get a good one.

Btw, any dyno sheets?

Guess we don't really know how good the tune is til you get it tweaked. Will they be doing the tweaking with the car in the dyno?

15 HP on a modded LLT seems better to me than the long-known 13HP gain over stock that has been floating around on this site for some time. Or do I have that backwards? Anyway, the dyno charts would be interesting to see. Early Trifecta charts that I've seen showed better gains in the low-to-mids than at peak RPM. I wonder what LMR could do with a stocker...

thanks for the update jvibe!!! looking forward to the updates!!! I think this is a VERY good option, if fest is still in texas, and if we still go!

Only thing that may hold me/us back, is that they are in texas, and if we add any more mods, i'd want to go back and have them tweak it again.

Why would the fest move from Texas?

the word is, there's a meeting with the owner of royal purple speedway and HHR Materials on sept 19th.

Some backstory, HHR Materials is a recycling company. More specifically, they grind concrete. This is causing dust/debri to land on the speedway. RP owner has already tried to make a compromise with HHR, and they weren't having it. So we will see what happens after this meeting. The owner of RP said that if HHR doesn't change, there is no other option, but to cease business for the speedway.

you can check out the fest section if you want to read more about it. I guess fest could still be there, just no racing. lol or be moved to another track.
