i cleared my needles last week, and today, i made the orange sections (fuel E, tach red line, etc) red, and i'm almost done making the tips of the needles white. fully clear, they were a tad hard to see during the day. my purple cluster lights should be here in a few days, so that'll make it that much more awesome.

i might even add some pics a little later tonight

yeah... lately, i've been on this mod spree. a couple weeks ago i scored some OEM projectors from a Denali on the cheap (which i then had to take apart & remove the orange reflector) & then proceeded to upgrade to HIDs. that made me order some new clear parking lenses to match (since one of my old ones is pretty yeller anyway). that, in turn, encouraged me to go ahead & convert my DRLs to blinkers - which i just got the new sockets today (and found a couple parts to fix some broken stuff while i was there). that means new parking/blinker bulbs so they match (the ones now have slight color variations from having different functions). while i was ordering the new bulbs, i figured i'd go ahead & order 6 more for the gauges & get an order for an interior LED package from AAC. yesterday, i debadged the truck. soon to come will be new wheels/bigger tires, LT headers, cam, black vertical billet grille, convert my fogs to HID... the list is just like the Energizer bunny - it keeps going, and going, and going..........

Sounds like you're pretty damn creative and handy. I don't have the patience nor the faith in myself to try some of the DIY stuff I've seen here. Post pics when you're finished.

yeah... 3 years ago, once my friend convinced me the world wouldn't end if you cut into a few factory parts, i realized how much fun it is to mod stuff! you also get a sense of pride and accomplishment when people compliment the stuff & you say "yeah, i did that "

touche! but i didnt mean me and besides this is the lounge, meant for randomness of topics. i was talking about my threads. they keep getting jacked by those members that joined since 2008 and still only have around 300 posts
