it was so simple...can't believe I didn't think of it sooner. Lock sometimes worked, unlocks rarely after 10 pushes, alarm always works and the hatch was 50/50. Thinking about it, the stuff that gets the most use is what wasn't working. I took it totally apart, the contacts were black! Got some WD40 and a q-tip and cleaned all the gunk off and TA DA!!!!!

I personally wouldnt have use WD40.

well, let me take that back, I would to clean the contacts if I didnt have some MAF cleaner or something else available. but I would also put a dab of dielectric grease on the contacts to prevent future gunking.
