I'd rated hand write, I'm not a really fast typer. In most of my classes we had to write essays during the class for our tests and cite sources in them. In about an hour and fifteen mins I could get around 7-8 handwritten pages.

It's not hard, just takes more time to finish up classes because you can't take a full course load. My school recommends if you're working full time to take no more than 2 classes a semester.
