I'd rather be seen as a "fanboy" site, than one that caters to the mustang with it's own section.
I'm sure we would loose a large amount of our site population is we make a dedicated Mustang section.

If you want a site that talks about all cars in general, then go to a site that already does that, or make your own.
We've said it countless times, this is Camaro5. We are here to mainly talk about the Camaro. If you are here solely to talk about another car or tell us how much better the other car is, then leave, you don't belong here.

No..you would see pretty much the exact same points made there as the ones you see being made here.

We had a couple very regular challenger members and a few once in a while camaro members and as long as they didnt come in with the fan boi comments like "we rock and smash all stangs" etc etc it stay pretty civil.

Actually i have become friends with one or two of them myself.

Milk. My comments were more in line with not having to read through a 450 page thread if you want to discuss something NEW or thats YOUR thing to discuss. I think we can both agree that logistically speaking...that model doesnt work. We don't do that to M3, Challenger or camaro owners on ford sites for just that very reason. That is all i am saying.

Frankly the whole "you dont belong here if you want to talk with camaro guys about other cars" attitude is insulting, childish, and most likely NOT the opinion of most of the members here, without whom..you wouldn't even have a site. Food for thought.

Edit: I mean no disrespect. I have no doubt it did/can get out of hand to the point that it gets ridiculous and something has to be done. My counterpoint is that the 2011 mustang thread has ALSO gotten riduclous and something should be changed to accomidate that issue as well.

Hmmmm, I have never ever seen a site moderator boldly state something like this and I have never ever seen a car forum that "almost" fully exhibits "either talk up our make of car or else" atttitude and encourages outcasting other enthusiasts. So am I understanding this correctly? For those of us who own Mustangs and Camaros and etc. and are open-minded enough to argue against or for any of these cars (they are just cars and I don't own GM or Ford stocks or do they feed my family for me to go all fanatic about them), either we become a full-pledge "Camaro Fan" to remain at this site OR leave? By the way, the 5th gen is my 6th Camaro and this is my 1st "mustang" but I will stick up for any car all day. Additionally, unlike some folks that are supposedly Camaro fan or otherwise, I just don't come here to debate, I actualy like to give tech or troubleshooting advise where and when I can. A lot of the Camaro-fan members here seem like they just like coming here on a "seek and destroy, defend at all cost" mindset and contribute nothing else. Hey man, I love all cars, not just Camaro.

Frankly, i think that is how it should be here about mustangs rather than forcing them all into one thread (which seems retarded to be honest).

However on a Ford forum, the threads usually have 10 or 15 replies and then they slide on and we move to another topic (is that not how it would go here)? At any given time there may be one or two or even three camaro threads up but its nothing thats an "issue".

I do suspect that for the reasons pointed out above there would be more than 2 or 3 at any given time (possibly 4 to 6) but i think the way it has been handled here shows extreme intolerance and a lack of willingness to discuss the competition. Something we rather enjoy on Mustang boards.

The way its done here..there are so many pages that one can not really discuss mustangs any more. (who wants to read 500 pages of topics NOT related to the particular thought you have that day before posting or discussing?)

Whats effectively happening here is that the threads/topics/posts are essentially being buried and swept away. You have heard of fanbois? I am afraid if this forum doesnt re-think how it handles these they may eventually have a reuptation around the world wide web as a "fanboi-site". Not A REP i would want ot have on my brands board and choice of place to discuss things. I would HOPE that C5 would RATHER be viewed by other car enthusiasts as a legitimate and regular car site??????? Wouldn't they?

Not name calling..just an objective thoguht of how people might see this.

Since I don't post in these threads, I'll throw my 2 cents in.....

If you don't like posting here, then hit the bricks.

To me Fanboi means a person that has no interest in the car that the forum is about, going to that forum and constantly posting about their car just to stir the pot......

Christ, let's just get the tape measure out and get this length contest settled once and for all......

Thanks for making my point for me. I would NEVER have seen a post like this on the BMW forum i joined to discuss in its m3 threads.

You just proved the BMW guys point for them that muscle cars owners are a lower class of people (well at least the camaro guys).

Fortunately, you do not speak for the vast majority of camaro owners whom i hope know how to use their cerebral tissue beyond learning to highlight things in bold and telling someone to leave. (congrats on that achievement by the way).

Measuring tape? Yea..i am sure you are faster with that than i am...being as you probably work in construction. (sorry..you ASKED for that..i know its not supposed to be personal but if you attack me personally i am going to respond personally). Always have...always will.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with comparing what one site does with other sites. Its not just AFM, its also Bimmerfest and several others that DO NOT DO THIS.

If you don't like being held to a "common standard" then perhaps you need new site administrators.

Then again, there is nothing wrong with being different. My point was STRICTLY from a logistical stand point, and discussing new ideas/points. Look up that word if you don't know what it means.

There was absolutely no need in making this personal and i have no problem reporting your post if you insist on continuing to make it so.

He is saying no one is making you post/visit here. This is a CAMARO forum, not a muscle car forum... and you are complaining there should be a whole section about Mustangs? Thats like a MAC forum having a whole section about PCs. I think this thread is perfect for discussing Mustangs, the reason they clumped them all together was because multiple threads about them were popping up daily. If you want info strictly about Mustangs or to discuss Mustangs go on a Mustang website. Its thats simple.

That is logical.

Now answer me this.

What if a fellow muscle car owner who doesnt own a camaro wants to come to the camaro forum and discuss a different muscle car type with the good old camaro owners without reading through 450 pages of combined posts and or having his thread moved there.

Answer: He can't.

On other sites.....this scenario would not EVEN BE A DISCUSSION because it is easily accomplished.

As i said before i acknowldeged it may have gotten out of hand at some point. My point was the solution has ALSO gotten out of hand.

I have never read through this whole thread and am not planning on it. I just go back a few pages and see what everyone is talking about to catch up on the conversation.

Oh relax. There was nothing personal in my post.

The point I was making is: If you have an issue with the way the site is ran, then leave. It's that simple. I did not make any personal remarks in my post and I stand by it.

Fair enough guys fair enough.

Lets drop it before a bunch of other people come in and start fighting, then the mods have to get involved. I perfer us to self-censor.

Moving on to the next thing. (let me try changing to subject).

Camaro guys, give me your opinon.

Which of the mustang editions do you think looks better from a cosmetic stand point (i am trying to stay on the subject of the mustang since this is the stang thread).

A) V6
B) GT
c) California edition (see my avatar)
D) Boss 302
E) Shelby GT 500
F) Dub edition.
G) V6 Pony package
H) V6 Mustang club of America package.

Edit: See if i could post a stand alone thread i could get some cool feedback and do a poll. Since i have to post here..likely most camaro guys wont see it and i cant make a poll.

Point made and score.

Still will take answers though. (its relevant because camaros guys opinions are every bit as useful for the answer im looking for as any mustang guys answer)
