Sources from GM have been quoted regarding the production hault. Try Google. Plus, all trackers have said the "data" suggests production has in fact stopped. No orders have progressed. Still speculation, you need to check Becky's updated list of vins two have been added and one yesterday

When I called customer service they said that production isn't halted and I said the media said it is and she said they got no news from GM stating thAt so who knows

GM put me on to another dealer in Ontario that may have a line to get another 2012 and I spoke on the phone with them for a couple of days and when it came to crunch time to drive to the dealership to sign up the deal. I asked for the 5th time are you sure you can get one they then called me back and said ya sorry we can't. I can't understand the run around I am getting from the dealerships and GM but that is we what we call life it does not all go as we would like it to oh well.....
I've emailed GM and asked for an explanation with no response so as far as GM being there for the customer I disagree.
I need to upgrade a couple of my service vehicles this year and I also need to get a new SUV for the family. With the lack of service from GM I am strongly considering taking my business to another manuafacturer that will actually treat me like a valued customer.

Anyways I will suck it up and move on from this whole process as it has not been an enjoyable one. This is a big personal purchase for most people including me as it is a toy in my eyes and it should be a fun and exciting experience.......
Guys be happy that you will be receiving your vehicles that you have put a lot of time and money in to and I'm sure they will exceed your expectations....
I enjoy reading your comments and updates with everything....

Well, shit guys.

I just called Oshawa and I was told they are redoing ALL ZL1s, including the ones coming down the assembly lines and the ones in QC hold and putting hybrid engines in them.

Man not one magazine appreciates the ZL1.... Saying it was a rushed project and what not... Man I know not to care about what others think but man I have never seen such reviews :/

But after reading some articles it's said GM won't release any anytime soon... Also customer service said they won't either...

Very likely in process and on the line when all of this started. There was another VIN reported yesterday (maybe one in the same). There were likely cars in process when this happened and they just finsihed them up. Some of those took a while to get reported.

All in all, no big deal. I think they did the right thing. There are quotes from a GM spokesman around 3/8/12 that state they have "in fact stopped production." Kind of a moot point anyways. The key is shipping. They will ship when ready and when they can ship they can produce.

I'm not sure in what order it will be spooled back up but I'm pretty sure we will hear about it.
