no, your stupid for thinking the mustang is a better all around car.

It will be slowerr. (315hp vs. 422)

It will handle worse. (IRS)

It will have a lesser quality interior.

It comes on an older platform.

It looks like an 05' mustang with downs syndrom

It has a 5 SPEED and an outdated suspension.

The "higher quality" materials they used in this car are just different types of plastic.

And It gained weight... shocker.

The front end looks like the new Mitsubishi Lancer, and the back looks like some European car. I do like the interior however.

A big ol' NO to you, boy.

It will have a lesser quality interior.

Your opinion. I stated my opinion as well and I'm the bad guy?

It comes on an older platform.

The Zeta platform was seen in 2006. The D2C platform of the current Mustang was seen in 2005. Yes, it is older. By a year? Seems like a moot point if you ask me.

It looks like an 05' mustang with downs syndrom

Your opinion. I have a different opinion.

It has a 5 SPEED and an outdated suspension.

Probably your only valid point.

The "higher quality" materials they used in this car are just different types of plastic.

And the Camaro comes with a leather wrapped interior? The Camaro uses plastic.

And It gained weight... shocker.
A whopping 35 lbs.

Themustangsource.com is no more reliable than Camaro5.com when it comes to rumors. Both have them. Both also have facts. Until we see a picture of a 5.0L Mustang GT engine bay, it is a rumor.

The Mustang may be better for you. Read the last paragraph of my post. It has a different heritage that you might appreciate. It also has a different yet equally American look. It even has the underdog factor that makes racing fun because you can come from behind. If you like the Mustang, get yourself a Mustang. I support you.

I will, however, point out that the Camaro is technologically superior in performance and tuning. Even if the 5.0L motor comes out, I'd expect the Camaro to simply outperform based on the current estimates. Until we see it, though, there's really no way to compare them.

You're not the "bad guy," but you are the Ford guy on a Camaro forum. You can't expect to convert anyone here, and you further can't expect us to feel the same way that you do about the Mustang. You may have a history with that car. A lot of us have a history with the Camaro. It's just different, so we feel differently about it.

Blur, thanks for the respect. It seems like a lot of my posts today came under attack by people calling me stupid simply because I like a different car. I'm a little sensitive right now.

You are probably correct about the LS engine's performance. The LS motor is simply an amazing machine.

I have a lot of respect for the Mustang. It isn't for me. It just doesn't feel right to me. To be completely honest, the only time I ever felt like I was in the right car was my buddy's Camaro RS. It has a low, aggressive feel that makes me feel good driving it. I test drove a Mustang and didn't feel that spark. I'm sure you feel that spark, and that's why it is right for you.

I understand completely. I just hope people like you can understand where I'm coming from, but it seems like if I'm not talking about the Camaro, I get flamed.

See ya 'round dude!

It has over 100lbs more hp and over 80lbs more torque. Its faster. If you dont believe this, go back to your scientology forum.

It will handle worse. (IRS)

A big ol' NO to you, boy.

wtf? it has a 51-49 weight distrobution, IRS that was tuned on a track, and high performance calipers/suspension setup. If i remind you, they tested this car against the mustang, but stopped bringing them because it was no longer competative in any category. The 2010 has a 15 hp spike and a 35lb gain... AKA they even out and its no faster than the mustangs that got burned by the test camaros. You want to compare handling of a mustang? go rent a golf cart.

It will have a lesser quality interior.

Your opinion. I stated my opinion as well and I'm the bad guy?

No opinions, the Camaro has more high quality aspects in the interior than the mustang.

It comes on an older platform.

The Zeta platform was seen in 2006. The D2C platform of the current Mustang was seen in 2005. Yes, it is older. By a year? Seems like a moot point if you ask me.

the CAMARO Zeta is its own updated platform. Do some research.

It looks like an 05' mustang with downs syndrom

What did the Mustang name its dog?

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhbuggg

It has a 5 SPEED and an outdated suspension.

Probably your only valid point.

Probaly time for ford to come to the 21st century already and stop offering outdated junk in their "new" cars

every car uses plastic. the mustang relies on it.

And It gained weight... shocker.

A whopping 35 lbs.

And this will only go up when they add a real suspension and a bigger engine for 2011. bye bye weight advantage.

The 15hp increase was a last minute decision with the only thing changing being the rating, not the engine. (initially they were going to rate the very same engine at 325-330hp) I knew that the rating had been changed well before anybody posted anything up on this site (well, to be exact we were 90% sure the rating had changed since it really was a last minute decision) and I recently pm'd one of your Mods here telling him exactly that. So no, I wasn't and am not surprised.

Just tell me how you can be excited about a 315 hp V8. Even the Mustang forums are bummed about that, 315 is shockingly low.

How could you feel proud driving this car when the competition will destroy you? It doesn't matter if the car is lighter when the engine is so weak. How can you feel proud driving a car that is the low end pony car of the big three in performance?

Mustang GT Premium - $30,095+Comfort Package (53B)- $575+GT Track Package (67T) - $1,445+Electronics Package (85X) - $2,700= $34,815
2SS= $33,430
Last I checked you couldn't get Navigation on the Camaro so I have no idea why you are adding the Electronics Package here as that is certainly not how most of these cars will be compared.

That is apples to oranges big time. Turn by turn navigation through Onstar and a genuine, navigation screen option are completely different and, for folks so inclined, are hardly going to be looked at as equals. Frankly, even GM doesn't look at them as being equal since they use both in their cars. You want an honest 2SS to GT comparison? Leave the Electronics Package out.

I'm just going to say that I'm done arguing. There really isn't a point to this, and no clear ending. You like your Camaro, I like my Mustang and the Camaro. That's that.

In the end, we'll both be happy.
