A lot of truth to that unfortunately. I love America. I believe in American exceptionalism And I believe in America and its divinely inspired founding will survive in time, one way or another. After all we are one nation under God, and I believe in him.

I sure do miss Rush a ton.

So many questions…In 43 days or so, we get to see if it’s even possible to vote our way out of what amounts to a national coup, if not global one. If conservatives ‘win’, we then will need to see if they have the fortitude to set us back on the right path. Or will they just melt into the beltway cesspool of unbridled corruption and give us doublespeak?

I fear the weaponization of bedrock institutions (FBI, DOJ and possibly the military) is a turning to great to overcome at the ballot box. Ah, the ballot box. Has that institution too been manipulated for a preordained outcome from here on out? I’ve always said ‘honest’ elections were the real opiate of the masses, anyway.

But there is hope. Take note of what just took place in Italy. Disregard the inane allegations that Meloni is Ms. Mussolini. She at least ran on a platform of God, Italy first and family. What a whacko, huh! Far from the USA but as mentioned by others, people - people of all stripes, have had it!

Although I'm not a person of faith, I fully understand the importance for it today and for it back when the country was founded. I'm guessing I am one of few atheists who put his daughter in a private Christian school for her first few years.

Rush was a trip and I couldn't stand the guy in his earlier years. Too much ego. But as he matured and I did too over the years, I grew to appreciate his incredible insight. I didn't always agree with him but I could appreciate his use of great critical thinking skills that brought him to the conclusions he arrived at.

I think even liberal western Europe is getting fed up with socialism and rampant illegal immigration.

I'm the same way. I'm not a believer (kind of wish I was) but I see the importance of it for the country. There is a reason that totalitarian regimes don't like religion.

Depends on what you mean by "republican party". If by the leaders and sentiment of Republicans, then yes, they most definitely embrace these things. If you mean by the majority of Republicans, then absolutely not. Problem is that at the state and federal level, those things come part and parcel with the GOP. As such, I'll pass on the fascism, racism, hypocrisy, and sheer stupidity. But as I stated previously, it doesn't even matter since I don't vote. I'm as political apathetic as they come, having lost all faith in our governing bodies. I'm not blind, though.

People like me have enough brain cells left to realize that it doesn't require every Republican to be a Trumptard, but rather only the movers and shakers in the party. Only a wackoo would ignore the insanity of the right because you and your buddies don't roll like that.

Likewise. I have no time for hysterical "orange man bad" bumper sticker jingoism.

Sounds about right. You guys make outrageous and unfounded claims, get called out for it, then cry your way to the Ignore feature because of it. Gotta love it.

For what it's worth, I have no intention of rocking the boat nor stirring up controversy. I was simply responding to unfounded and unhinged posts regarding political associations to the EV market, which led to even more unfounded posts about political tribalism. If need be, I'll just stay in my corner and stick to receiving car information as needed.

To keep this EV related, (sort of) at the moment, especially in places like California, there is nothing unfounded about the fact that I can’t bake a cake in my electric oven, run my central air and charge my EV after the sun goes down. I have to presume that if I could, my Mensa-Governor would not have said not to. Even worse if 20 million of us run out and buy a Chevy Volt.

That’s the kind of insanity that leads to discussions about brain dead, misguided politicians. Tribalism has nothing to do with utterly flawed green thinking and policy.

You lost me when you claimed to have any brain cells.
