Yes, the gen V small block V8's, featuring direct injection and other features. Its the design that will be common across the V8 engine lineup, not the particular displacement for the GM vehicle lineup. Thats my understanding anyway

Theres not going to be a FWD drive Camaro. Theres not going to a FWD Mustang. Theres not going to a FWD Challenger. Its not going to happen. Its a pony car-not a compact.

Two GM employees on this site have confirmed it. It's happening. FWD is the future.

Wrong...... pshhhhh

The future is AWD car's that are mid-engine with small motors at each wheel to make up for drive train losses.

Not true. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/FEG2010.pdf. Go to page 9. The Challenger is a compact too. Mustang is sub-compact (page 8).

I dont believe them. And I wont. Until GM says it so, Im taking anyones word on it. The entire platform of the car would be ruined. The return of the pony wars is back, and GM is not going to back out now. The Convertable will be here soon, and I doubt after spending all this money, having a car return such great results-its just going to be kicked to the side to receive and FWD death. Personally, Im not going to fall into this post. Get some pics, get some paperwork. Word of mouth is poorest form of proof, and there is none here.

I understand youre point, but I mistyped mine. I was trying say its a Pony Car, what you think of one as,and not as a FWD wanna be. We all now that FWD is the worst way to generate power in a car like the Camaro. 4/AWD, then rear. Weight dist. is better than weight saving,IMO,I would preffer understeer to sideways launches also.
