The Fact is, that was a supercharged car, the motor still held nothing to the ls1.
You can't come here spitting that nonsense.

Mustangs see all right, but it did take dohc's and a supercharger to beat the camaro.

Young guys don't realize how good we've got it. Anyone who lived through the late 70's- and 80's cars will know what I mean. And what I mean is the current offerings of performance vehicles are outstanding. I wouldn't be ashamed to own any of them. Every single manufacturer makes a car that will outrun just about anything produced in 1984. Back then, I thought we'd never see another performance era, let alone one better than the late 60's. I thought it was all over. Everytime I fire up my SS, I am reminded of good we got it now.

There are too many nice cars out there to be real particular about brand.

The Mustang's also had smaller motors so they had to use superchargers or go with the 5.0 DOHC, you forgot to mention that the Camaro's had the CI advantage.

Its a free country so I think its good when Mustang or Challenger guys come here and create threads but its usually the Camaro guys who start throwing the low blows and get things going instead of having good spirited debate. The Camaro, Challenger and Mustang all have there good and bad points IMO. I would not be ashamed to own any of them and Ive owned Mustang's and Camaro's but never a Challenger.

Thats true, they will be blowing out the 5th gens to make room for the new model.
