Otherwise those guys with white hair who signed that document somewhere on the east coast in 1776, I guess weren't real "Men"...
So you are saying if it's a law you don't agree with it's ok to break it???? And if you don't break it you are not a real man????:face-palm

You cannot compare what our founding fathers revolted against as being the same level as tint or light laws... I don't recall back in those days there even being cars.. Do you agree with the country's Tax Laws? Do you pay your taxes anyway? That would be closer to what our founding fathers were doing.

Sometimes, a person's falls on the very outskirts of the law. Like very mild tint, or some high quality after market lights. But, these laws prevent idiots with limo tint all around, who can't see where they are going, or who paint their lights to make them darker (and thus, people can't safely see them at night).
I am not as worried about seeing them at night as being able to see their blacked out brake lights on a bright sunny day. That is the worst time for them.

Oops... now you will have to think so.
Approximately 35 years of driving, and MANY very performance cars over the years ranging from Corvette's, to Firebirds, to Camaro's, and probably 70% of the different "muscle cars" made in the day... and ZERO TICKETS. None, ever. So no, only you fit the category, I suppose. You seem to think you can pick and choose laws. Yo yo fo shizzle.

I didn't ask if you got a ticket...I asked if you broke the law. We all know the answer, and I got the answer I wanted, so you can stay on your fake high-horse.

Some of the best dope arrests (meth) I've made have come off of expired registration, defective license plate lights, and OMG no front LP stops. I put together an ID theft case once with over 100 victims and 1000 pieces of identifying information. Came off a no front LP stop.

Broken taillights here led to many arrests for warrants, illegal substances, even weapons charges.

To bother some and catch one good perp is fine by me.

There is no high horse, just stating that breaking laws is not what makes you a man. Ask your dad about it.

You win though... You're the man. I only hope one day I can grow up to be the same.

Personally, I hate not being able to see what the driver is doing other than driving. As a cyclist I want to see where the driver is looking and what they are doing, keeps me safer and allows me to get away from them if they're texting, putting on makeup, grading school papers, eating a bowl of cereal (with milk!) or watching TV.

Great point. Indeed, most laws are in place for a good reason. Not all, but the majority are. (Side note: I saw one shaving one morning... shaving cream and all).

I was talking about blacked out or heavily tinted taillights. Not the windows. People think "oh my lights can be seen at night" but forget how hard it may be during the daytime when the sun is bright.
