I sometimes think that this time will be remembered as the second pony car age. Challengers are great looking, and the best riding of the pony cars. Camaros are the fastest, and do look great: wouldn't kick one out of my garage for leaking oil. Mustangs have been my favorite since my Snap-tite days. I hope that we don't see the auto industry hit the second coming of the mid 70's.

The Challenger has a different personality than the Camaro. Dollar for dollar, the Camaro is a better deal performance wise, but only if you get the 6 speed Camaro as the auto seems to lose a LOT of power to the rear wheels. The Challenger is more "old school" muscle car where as the Camaro is more sport car.

I originally planned to buy a Camaro. Drooled over them for 6 months. I loved the look of the Challenger, but wasn't wild about Dodge, and felt the price was a tad high. However, when I went to put my deposit on a Camaro in February, the dealer wouldn't let me use a Supplier Discount even though GM said it was fine. The other dealers I visited were marking the Camaro up $5K.

So, I went and test drove a Challenger. LOVED IT. Then the dealer told me it was on a special program for Employee Price, $1000 cash back, and 0% financing for 48 months. BOOM, that's all it took. I told them to get me an orange one and the rest is history.

Everytime I take the thing out, I get stopped, or people follow me into parking lots to ask me about the car and comment on it. It's been a great vehicle and honestly doesn't feel as heavy as it really is while driving. I've made several upgrades just to give it a more sinister appearance, but those also helped with the handling and other aspects. However, I don't think it really matters as I don't plan on racing the thing. I just cruise around and enjoy it.

So far with just an intake and exhaust I'm at 348RWHP and 373RWTQ.

Nah...The only way he would get is if he starts posting his mods and then let the flames begin!

My wife's first car was a 74 Barracuda. I really like the CHallenger and the Mustang. My sister first bought a 68 Camaro in 73 and then it was sold to my brother and I bought it in 78. It was Matador Red with black Rallys and my 2010 is Victory Red. Just love red, my wife is even a red head

Love the color... but honestly Idk which is my favorite.

Black looks badass, Orange/white looks so vintage, the Blue looks sweet and the Red looks badass as well

Ahh the Challenger, i love this car, just about as much as i love the Camaro, maybe more? maybe not? Idk im so on the fences with the two, the Challenger has everything im looking for in R/T with a leather package and all, the only thing swaying my decision is the performance that comes with the Camaro, if i could pump about 400rwhp out of my R/T without busting my chops too much id be all for it, of course i know i can get a Camaro up to around 460hp with just an AMD stage 2 cam swap...ahh jeeze im giving myself a headache again, LOL, R/T? SS? R/T? SS? i just cant decide...all i know is i see WAY too many Mustangs on the road on a daily basis to get into that, lol, i admire their performance but i preffer a car that will turn heads, a car that when i come driving by people go "hey i know exactly who drives that car"...i really love the R/T Classic but its just so expensive that at that point id say why not just save a wee bit more and get the SRT? I'd get a cheap leather trimmed R/T and put the classic side stripes on it ^_^ or maybe a black SS Camaro with the orange stripes V_V...now im undecisive again! XD

All i know is ive seen an SRT in person and it was amazing and ive seen an SS in person and it was drop dead killer...that coupled with how ive always driven camaros makes me think the SS calls to me a little more...sorry im rambling, LOL, this (R/T vs. SS) has been a BIG issue for me lately, awsome car man Cudas to all muscle lovers!...or uhh...kudos,

One thing to consider is torque. That's what you actually feel. Couple that with a more old school interior on the surface, with modern upgrades underneath and the Challenger is a winner.

If you want a sports car get a Camaro.

If you want a MUSCLE car, get a Challenger.

Doesn't the Camaro have the same amount of torque as the Challenger?

Without feeding the rivalry, I'll go ahead and point out that the Challenger is a great car, and you made a decision that was right for you.

I'm still getting a Camaro. We'll see you at the track and right here on Camaro5.

Not from the dynos I've seen.

My R/T puts out more torque than HP.
