If not are you going to get that Ranger or keep looking?

We're going to look at the Ranger first.

Just an update..

My dad just got off the phone with his retired cop friend. Our next step is to take the Edsel to a Ford dealership near the seller and have them check.

Once again, fingers crossed.

I think I'd keep looking, unless you can get this cleared up. Took me quite a while to buy a project car. They are out there. Wait and you will find a good one. However this one sure looks pretty decent...

We're gonna keep looking into this one until we know for sure what vin it is. If its not the vin on the title, we'll let it go. If it is, we're going to buy it.

You could check the engine block number. From that you can get the VIN.

It doesn't have the stock engine.

It doesn't have it's stock engine. It has a 1976 Ford LTD engine.

Well guys.. It's been a wild ride. But the seller sold it to the dealership today. It was a beautiful car, and a ton of fun to be in. Goodbye girl.

Once again, thank you to everyone that helped out. Especially upflying. I really would've loved to see this work out in our favor.

Now we'll be moving on to a '59. This one has a vin.

That sucks. The '59 will be an easier buy though.

I would love to know how the dealer bought it with so little information on the car though.

The dealer doesn't plan on selling it. Just driving it around and using it for show.
