Thank you Carroll Shelby for all that you have done.....legendary racer, automotive designer, loathed by some, admired by all. I hope Heaven can hold the automotive fury.

Rest in peace dear sir.

I met him when I was 18 at the Hyatt regency in Detroit at a car convention, I was free reading magazines in the gift shop and looked to my right and there he was doing the same. I dont recall the small talk but I got my Shelby shirt I was wearing signed by him, was sureal even then. Thank you Mr. Shelby for the legacy you have left that we will enjoy for many years to come. Ford vs Ferrari vs Chevrolet forever.

It really impresses me to see the automotive community come together to mourn the loss of such an icon. No matter the brand, EVERY automotive forum has a thread about this right now chalk full of respect and nothing else. Shelby alone did more for our beloved hobby than most entire corporations. He was a true American icon and he will be missed. Despite the loss, it really makes me smile that Chevy, Ford, import, domestic, EVERYONE has come together to show their respect for what this man did for our passion. RIP Mr. Shelby.

Carrol Shelby dead at the age of 88

Man, Even though he's the "man" when it came to Mustang (Cobra's) what he could do to a car was totally awesome. Hate to see such a legend leave us. May he rest in peace. Thanks Carrol for everything you did for the car enthusiasts
