Ok, update on the big c here.
Good news and bad news for me today.
Bad news is the cancer is back.
Good news is I don't have to do radiation this time and my chemo schedule
Is way easier than the last treatment.
I've got a petscan on the 2nd to check the rest of my body to see if it spread anywhere. Then I'll do a 4 hr session of chemo every 3 weeks for 4-6 sessions or
More until a ctscan comes out clean. And yes, my hair will be history again.

So, keep up the good work and quit those evil smokes!!!

I'm surprised that your non-smoking co-workers aren't more supportive.

When I quit, smoking was not quite as "unfashionable" as it is now. At the time, friends, co-workers - just about everyone I knew smoked. When I quit, they were either respectful or at worst, non-committal. No one tried to lead me to temptation.

My non-smoking co-workers were super-supportive (I guess that's why I'm here cheering you guys on, paying back). And all these years later, not a single one of my smoking-buddies smoke today. I led the pack.

Just remember, this is of you, by you and for you. No one can ever take that from you - so screw those sorry a$$ jerks.

I'm still here! Haven't had one in almost two weeks. It gets easier every day but the drinking thing does make it tough....!

Y2K All my thoughts and prayers are with you! Hopefully it will be gone for good this time.

Just wanted to tell my experience. I have been a smoker for 30 yrs. I have been wanting to quit for sometime and have at times for short periods. But since my wife smoked as well that made it very difficult on me trying to quit. Then five months ago I tried the electronic cigarette. That day I quit smoking and have not touched one since except to throw the pack I had away. Did a lot of research and after seeing it is not harmful, 100's of flavors and you can smoke anywhere but on a airplane I was on board. So after five months I am still going strong. It is extreemly easy and cheap! Costs me about $30 a month. And since you can adjust your nicotine level and not lose that hand to mouth thing, or after dinner craving etc., it is making it even easier. Doesn't even bother me to be around smoker's for as long as I can stand the stench anyway. lol I started at a 22 nicotine level and I am now down to 8mg on my way ZERO! Never had a craving for a cigarette since, and after the first day and I smelled what other smoker's smelled like I knew I was not going back. Now my wife has also quit smoking (And that is REALLY saying something) as well as several friends and family, all due to the electronic cigarette. So I am saying this to help anyone in my situation or one like it to maybe give an option to help. Lord knows I am glad I found this and I hope and pray it has saved my life!

And BTW OP, Good luck! May the force be with you and all trying to kick the habbit! :fighting0040:

Thank you kindly!

It has been one of the hardest things I've ever done so I know how much of a struggle it is! However, I look at all the money I've saved and the years I've added to my life (to torment my son as he grows older). It's been TOTALLY worth quitting!
