He just said he wanted the SS. I love how guys with SS's were calling him a V6 hater, but they have no problem turning any other thread into a V6 vs V8 thread. I have a 2011 V6, completely stock. I've raced a 08 Mustang GT, and a 10 Mustang GT and they're both faster. Not by just a little bit, but quite a lot. Everyone loves to point out our V6 has more hp than the 05-10 4.6 V8, ever think of torque? Ever think of the HUGE weight difference between our cars? The OP never would've gotten bashed if he said I might go with a GTO instead of an SS the whole "Hate V6" part would've never came up. Just cause he said he wanted a Mustang, he apparently hates the V6. A 2010- up V6 Camaro may beat a 05-10 GT Mustang with the right mods, but what happens when the OP turns around and installs the same exact mods in his Mustang? Parts are cheaper for the Mustang, and the Mustang is gonna cost him less money to buy. A 2010 V6 Camaro may be newer than the Mustang, but the Mustang is an upgrade over a 4th gen with 150k+ miles no matter what. I just find it hilarious how biased this site can be at times, and how everyone's ready to jump on the bandwagon to take shots at the OP just cause everyone else before them has as well. Grow up people, and OP buy the Mustang. Trust me, this is coming from a V6 owner. It's just faster.

Stock exhaust was way to quiet on the v8s tho.
Flowmaster catbacks make it perfect.
I put an aftermarket exhaust on my car less than a month after I had it.

I know a guy here that had the dealership put on an aftermarket exhaust before he even drove it off the lot

I've spoken with a couple of people who did the same thing.

Maybe not now, but if you buy a Mustang, we'll all know what you'll look like.

I know HP isn't everything, but a V6 that makes 2 more peak HP than your LS1 did new...just not getting why a V6 wouldn't be a viable option. Even a 4-cylinder Camaro would be better than a V8 Mustang.

My prediction is, if you haven't already, will buy the Mustang no matter what anyone else says. And then you can put the Cobra emblems on it. Your money, your car. But I also predict later, you'll kick yourself for not listening. Happens all the time.

LS1 cars where underrated. You dint go buy motor trend specs did you?!? Stock I was 315hp. Now have the BBK Intake, long tube headers, Borla and a tune (: I had the chance to drive a 06 GT. We used to have one. Loved it. I'm not gonna keep my 4th gen to wait for a 5th gen to drop in price. I hate to say it but I kinda think there ugly. What's up with the front? It looks like it's smiling at me or something. If they made the front more like a 69 and dint mix firebird and camaro parts together I would prob get one. The pointy front comes from the eary 93-97 Firebirds. I don't find them to tasteful. But that's just me not looking to fight over it. And no Cobra emblems will never touch my GT.

He said He could get me approved for a 05-08 Mustang GT. Been really thinking about it just because the new SS Is way outta my price range. I have grown old of my 4th gen and it's now at 152k. I think it's time for a change. I really only want a v8. A newer car. But only thing that comes to mind is the Mustang. Here is one that has my eye.

FWIW.... A decent credit score and enough money down will put you in a different tier with some lenders and not require income verification....

True. But I don't wanna pay off 35grand when I can get a GT a few years older for 16grand

have you considerd buying used? you can probably get a 72 month loan since its not very old and that will make for lower payments.

I like to keep my manhood. And plus more Tq better gearing in the v8s and more aftermarket parts. Why do people only go by HP?

I would but the price is to hefty right now. I also wanted a GT so it would be nice for me. I will get a camaro one day when there cheaper. I find them way overpriced for what they are.
