...and yes, these are individual images! The color changes on the building, no photoshop magic here!

Man, I am impressed. Nowadays only serious photographers use black and white. Very good work.

great thread...great photos!

wow...this thread has grown...and the photos are totally awesome!

I'll toss in a few, if I may. I'm totally a self taught amateur!
I shoot with a Canon EOS Rebel XT, and prefer to use my 75-300mm for wildlife. Love digital...I can not even begin to tell you how many rolls of 35mm film I went through photographing elk in the RMNP!
Hope you enjoy!

Loving the B&W photography guys! Very Margaret Bourke-White.

Here are some from my Terrance Reimer phase.
(straight from the camera )

And then two I blew up and used for an Art Gallery on campus. The Camaro is an art form

Man am I happy to see this thread taking off like it has!

With the interest that is being thrown at the thread, what you guys & gals thinks about starting a weekly assignment? Sure there are photo assignments all over the stinking place that you can take part in, but I prefer the small scale ones. Where the people participating are actually connected in some way, and give a damn about the assignment.

We could just keep it simple. Friday we will bash around ideas for the assignment. Pick one, and then you have till the following Friday to make it happen and post your results. Could be fun with the amount of talent I have seen running around here, we will even do it all in this very thread!

Thoughts?

Those images are CRISP! I love 'em, great work That Tamron Lens is one of the best 3rd part lenses I've ever used. My buddy lent me his for a bit. It's really versatile for it's focal length and super sharp!

Thank you thank you. Thus far I am loving the lens as well.

The true test for it will be today at the wedding I am covering. I think it will do just fine, but it still has to prove itself!

Nice lens ... It's all about the glass, I shoot with Canon L-Series and have about $6k invested in three lenses. It's amazing how you can put a good lens on a mediocre camera and get good results.

I shoot a 24-105 f/4, 70-200 f/2.8, 100-400 f.4 also have a 2x extender to go with them that works great. The body I use now is a Canon 5D II and was on a wait list for it longer than my first Camaro ...

I just love to photograph those little boogers, and at times, they don't make it easy!
