I was saddened and disturbed to hear about this on the news last night. It's something that us sports officials have to deal with everytime we step onto the field or court to officate a game. For most of us, we don't do this because of the money. We do this for the love of the sport.

Well....I've started my basketball season again, as far as reffing is concerned. The FBL of San Antonio opened it's Fall 2013 Schedule last weekend. I'll be reffing 2 games tomorrow afternoon. The high school season will begin towards the end of October. I love the Fall season. Weather wise and sports wise!!

I'll be attending my chapter's first general meeting (South Texas Chapter) this Wednesday, in Devine, TX. The UIL high school basketball season kicks off at the end of October. It's time to get excited!!
