Nice ride, I've got a friend of mine who has a 2008 SRT8 and he tell's me the same thing about getting gas or anywhere he exits the vehicle. Good luck with your ride, break it in right.

I was looking at an SRT-8 also. GREAT looking car with nicer guages than the Camaro. I like the interior although they should offer some optional colors I think.

But being a cheap SOB, I was put off by the price- I thought the price jump from the R/T to the SRT-8 was excesssive. So I decided I want an SS after they are out a little while.

But if I am reading this thread right. it looks like you got a $5,000 discount! That's more like it. I guess the economy, soft demand and the fact that the car has been out a little while has brought the dealers down to earth. For a while they were acting like they were gold-plated or something. MSRP or more.

They did that on Z06 Vettes when they first came out, but now you can get a discount from any volume Corvette dealer.

hey in the america we live in right now i give you nothing but respect on keeping it american. on the other hand, i am a die hard chevy man and could nor would be caught dead in a nopar or a muckstang! enjoy your new car. american muscle all the way!!
