Thank you ladies for the warm welcome!

Just to clarify - the blue is not "permanent" paint... it is actually FLX Paint - automotive paint sprayed and clear coated on to vinyl. Like a GIGANTIC sticker! I was able to go to our local auto paint store and pick out the perfect BLUE and then had the manufacturer paint the vinyl and ship it to AZ. NOW... that being said - the installer was a first time user of the product and I do believe that the product may have been faulty. There are MAJOR installation faults and product faults. There are cracks everywhere in the surface, shrinking where you can see the white showing thru and bubbles everywhere! It is a GREAT 10FOOTER though! We are in the process of getting a refund on the job (partial :() so that we can have the car painted - as in sand down, paint on the car painted. The stripes are actually white carbon fiber vinyl ... I love them - not sure if we are doing stripes the next time around. The whole blue on the car thing has been a PITA! The blue stripes in my avatar were redone 3 times by the dealer - 3rd time they were still wrong and we asked for a refund.

As for the glasses discussion... up until about 6 months ago - I had PERFECT vision - now ... I think I need to go and check my eyes checked - having the worst time seeing things up close - like 6" from my face and it hurts my head. DARN AGE!

Speaking of age, I just found out I have arthritis in my right knee
It's been mildly swollen for about 6 weeks but not really hurting so I thought
I better get it looked at just to be safe.......arthritis? I'm not that old!!

Sorry to hear that Becky! My hubby is 34 and he has arthritis in his hip!! What's up with that?!?! Maybe if you were very active in sports too that might be what happened with you.

I have no clue I used to swim competitively, but that's about it. I have been exercising now, squats and lunges and maybe it just brought
it to the fore front - not sure, but at least it's manageable.

My husband and I have always been Camaro enthusiasts - we currently own "Whiplash" and our 69 Daytona Yellow SS - but have owned one of every generation at some time or another. This is what ours currently looks like.

Have you tried Glucosamine & Chondroitin (sp?)? Shark cartilage? I take both & they really help. If I miss a dose I can really tell (it hurts & I get swelling/inflammation). It does not seem to help everyone, but it is worth a shot. (health food/vitamin store)

You get used to it. I have been using contacts over thirty years (I know i'm a geezer.).

Yeah, but I've spent nearly 45 years NOT putting things in my eyes - teaching this old dog that new trick, I think not....

Wendy, you should definitely get your refund and just go for the paint... Not that we could tell from the pic that anything is wrong.... But if you're not happy, you're not happy! But that two-tone scheme is FABULOUS, if you paint, stick with it! VERY unique - and I like unique! Here's a pic of Ladybug's paint job - unique...

Here's another picture of your paint LBM, snapped from the balcony of the Rio Vista.

Ruby, I stopped by this thread to see what shenanigans were going on and I saw this post. I must say thank you I will have to check this out. I am just shy of 40 and both my knees are killing me, I have never had an injury so I think it may be some sort of arthritis.

Cheers
K

Thanks I take Glucosamine & Chondroitin and fish oil. They told me the fish oil is good for lots of things, joints being one of them I stopped one time and it did hurt, so it's part of my morning routine. The funny thing is they feel great after I exercise

My vision started to go when I was only in 2nd grade. Wore glasses for awhile, but then decided contacts were the way to go. Then started getting eye infections from overuse of contacts when in vet school (long hours!). So I went the LASIK route. It's been over 2.5 years since I got it done and it's been the best money I've ever spent. For all of you with such crappy vision that you have to squint right up in front of the alarm clock when you wake up..LASIK is amazing. It was a miracle for months, being able to wake up and see that alarm clock! If anyone has any LASIK questions I will be happy to answer them!

As for the arthritis, I can't speak for humans but I know dogs can get it early from genetics, too much weight, too much wear and tear, poor conformation, etc. First thing I always recommend to owners is glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate. Definitely the safest and very effective for most. Must take twice daily for at least 4-6 weeks to notice a difference, and must be taken longterm after that.

I would KILL to get LASIK. How much is it?

Ruby, how are things? You've been in my thoughts

Becky-- I hear good things about Glucosamine and Chondroitin. I have a friend with a dog who has bad arthritis in her joints and my friend swears by the stuff, after her mom started giving it to the dog because her mom takes it for the same issue!
