Is EMT like a job you've always wanted to do because I would think the computer tech job would pay more?

Yeah, with the right kind of computer job you can get decent pay. A networking degree at my local college takes 2 years to complete (i need to get started on it). Though if you really wanted to get into a growing sector that will likely get you a good amount of money, I'd aim for the security side of things (fight those dang China hackers).

Heh. Paramedic positions (2 year degree) here start at 49,000 annually. EMT-B (3 month class) starts at 26,000 annually. Not bad pay at all in my book, and I'll be doing what I love (not that I don't like computers, but just not what I want to do for a living).
