Love the domestic stuff. The people I deal with I see every day. I build a friendship with my community. Being a state trooper he will never see the same person twice. He will never know what the person he is walking up on is capable of. A state trooper, especially texas (they work very closely with the Border Patrol and those drug cartels are 10000000x worse than what is shown on TV), can be much more dangerous than a local department (granted San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, big cities, yeah much more dangerous). Now I thought about being a Trooper...what kind of sealed the deal was that being a Trooper...back up can be 15-30 mins away.

I ran the plates of car which came back stolen. Pulled the car over and got behind cover and had the car at gunpoint. My back up was 2 minutes away and within 4 minutes I had 6 more cars there. We busted the guys. Each had a gun on them, a few knives.

Now those guys had 2 minutes to think "should we, should we not". What your man needs to realize is that he will have these guys at gun point for 15-30 minutes. That's A LOT of time for those guys to think..."hmmm...we are in the middle of now where, 3am, us 3 vs just him, our car is stolen (so the plates don't come back to them), we can take this guy out and ditch the car, no one will ever know". This isn't really to scare you. More or less I'd like your bf to read this actually lol. It's just a big thought I had when I made the decision.

Oh and Troopers have no more authority than anyone. They just have a bigger jurisdiction.

I dont know big LE words.

Yeah well he plans to work in Houston, which we don't have alot of border patrol issues, that is way further south, and there are more troopers in the area.

He knows all this, boy has a degree in this stuff. He said, "Babe, I'll be like the Lone Ranger, but in a car."

I read it!! My brother is State here in NM, and my hubby is about to go out for Arlington PD. He doesn't want to go DPS because he said their assholes, and he knows since his cousin is one. I am scared for my brother a lot now, and my hubby later.
