And if it is this price, y car just won't be a good drivers car like z car.

And even though it's a great drivers car, it's still an x.

Just the douche bag types. I hope deep down they're sad the HellCat offers 127 more horsepower than their car. I hope they cry at night.
I've gained a healthy respect for the GT500 and Hellcat during the past few month come here. They are all great cars so it comes down to taste, familiarity, etc. All three are legitimate super cars with power levels no one dreamed of 10 years ago.
I have a hard time understanding guys that sell everything to chase the next hot car.

Eh, if you have money you can trade toys as you see fit.

I'm a Mustang guy, so I'll keep my Mustang, but I don't need to trash to competition to justify the purchase to myself.

I'm excited to see what the manual runs.

Dodge claims 11.8s on OE 275s and, with a similar weight-to-power number as the GT500, that makes sense.

$59,900 MSRP, Base, makes this very good value BUT, like the days of old in the original muscle era, Mopar's overall presence on the street will still trail its domestic competitors in sales volume.

Dodge has not released any official info on the manual times as far as I know...Where did you find that?

Rumors though have it doing 10.9 on Drag radials.... so maybe that's 11.3...11.4 on stock rubber 1/4 mile

....We have to wait and see.......

I could see 11.8s out of the manual.

Good drivers putting it deeper into the 11s and your average test and tune car 11.8-12.2s or so.

That autos gonna hurt some damn feelings no doubt.

We shouldn't be surprised. ...it was the same people most likely who guaranteed the 13GT500 would start at 65k, no way Ford adds that much to the 2012 GT500 for that price.

Its great that the car is capable of these times, but I think its a mistake that Dodge is marketing it's hero runs as their normal times. Theres going to be a lot of hurt feelings when they cant match those times.

Actually from what I know the times were run in DA of 1500 to 2000 above sea level

....so the times are sure to get even faster.......

....I think you will see 10's on stock rubber in great air.....

shouldn't the supercharger essentially make the DA a non issue? I think forced induction reduces the effects of bad DA. Might get a slightly worse time, but not a whole lot.

I'm sure they were, but these runs were most likely done by a Dodge engineer, a professional. I'm not taking away the great times, but I dont think its a fair comparison. Look at the time they're using for the GT500. Where was that time picked up from?
