The sign was displayed next to the orange GearOn truck. Apparently these pics are also of the same truck.

181hp 369trq for the 2.8L baby duramax ..... Hmmmmm. I was hoping for at least in the 200hp range but hoping that the MPG is over 30.

I think it will easily be 30mpg. Once the aftermarket gets their hands on it I have no doubt that there will be major performance gains to be had for relatively little money.

Looking at your pics there is a similar colored truck behind the Gearon truck. 2 different trucks.

These things will be rolling coal in no time! There's a video on YouTube that shows some dynotest/tuning on the 2.5 duramax, which we won't be getting. They cranked out 350hp and 522 ft lb TQ... It's in some kind of race vehicle, so I think that's a little overkill for the street maybe? I could easily see a 250hp/425-450tq being easily achieved, and still streetable?

3rd shift added at the plant to keep up with production. Awesome news.

Just found a company in Austalia offering plug-n-play tuning for the Holden Colorado with the 2.8l Duramax. Claiming stock numbers at 178 bhp and 347 lb-ft and with only their tune 207 bhp and 406 lb-ft. That seems very reasonable to me.

Now that's more like it. If it can gain just that much more HP from a tune then that's great news!
