You get snowed in? I have friends around Holland and I think they got quite a bit!

Nothing here. Holland, Grand Rapids, the west side gets a lot of lake effect.

Just outside the D. I can see Ford and GM HQs from my office.

That's kinda neat!
Do you work in the auto industry or unrelated?
I heard it's pretty depressed around there! :(

I work for a credit union which is doing very very well despite the economy. It's the worst here I've ever seen and hope to never see again.

All the kids leave either during or immediately after college. They leave the state because there are no jobs.

Everyone says if you're the last one out of Michigan turn off the lights!

It's bad. How are you guys holding up?

We are doing OK here. Knock on wood!
I am in construction, industrial, commercial, public/private. I am keeping everyone busy but it is A LOT of work and wheeling/dealing to do it.

Seems like no one leaves Chicago! They just keep coming, and coming, and coming..................

Residential construction is in the toilet, but I never have been involved much with that.

I have done a few jobs on the western side of Michigan, near the lake.

I believe CG is doing alright, she keeps updating her FB status.....but nothing with details, just about how much she 'enjoys' hospital food, and that 'he' (her BF I presume), came to take care of her...

Junk on the other hand, have no idea...

I LOVE GM vehicles, and particularly Chevy's, but would buy any GM vehicle if I had the $$...Hopefully, one day, soon enough, a 5th Gen CAMARO! Dave_O
