Losing my xmas spirit. Might get fired in the new year over a Facebook comment on a picture. I get a week off while they think about it, so now I have something to pray for at supper, I guess

holy crap man...

this is another reason I don't spend my entire life on facebook. too easy for stuff like that to happen. that and I have a real life, don't have enough time to be watching everyone elses (not directed at you dj)

No problem, I probably shouldn't get into details, but I got sent a link to the picture from some co-workers, thought it was kind of funny and made a comment. Not racial or sexual or anything, but still kind of bone headed. So we will see.

yeah... I've learned when it comes to work... keep my mouth shut. I'd rather not tell a funny joke than piss off the wrong person.

then again, if people werent such sissies, we would have these kinds of problems.

Yeah that is crap. You might want to look into your state laws. Some laws state that you can't get fired for what you post on FB. I went through the same crap a few months ago. I cleaned house of my "friends" My company's policy is that you must have your FB private so only your friends can view it.

Spike now that is what I was talking about a little bit ago. Funny how things come around full circle. OKAY not the word joined......I started posting in the lounge on Sept 21.

My profile is private and I don't say where I work. Not to mention this is the first time I have ever been in trouble and I've been there 6 years. Hope to keep my job.

Not expecting any promotions for the next 20 years if I do, though. :(

This! I am glad I work with laid back people. They don't care if you are white, black, hispanic, asian, gay, straight (you get my point) You are all fair game. I think I get it the worse at work. These city folk make fun of the fact I am a redneck everyday.

Then there is someone one your facebook who you can't trust. I am telling you clean house. I only have 10 of my co-workers on my facebook page and we all have dirt on each other. We are all good friends, so if one goes down we all go down.

We are all going down. We are all too close of friends to rat each other out. I would take the hit for my friends if it meant them keeping their jobs. One doesn't have a family and the other has a baby. I would take the fall for them, but I don't say anything on FB about work. I try to keep a low profile at work. Work is work and it is income.
