Looks like the EAGLES injury report is a great sign.

Anyone who thinks JA17 should not be MVP should read this thread.

So many firsts by a QB in one season so many amazing stats such as most tight window throws and yards.

Very funny excerpt from this thread about the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award

While there’s no doubt that Allen is a leader, he is also a fierce competitor, so his selection for this award is just another chapter in what might end up being the most delightfully contradictory season of an NFL career.

In 2024, Allen was somehow crowned both the “Most Overrated Player” in the NFL and the league MVP. He was also voted the league’s biggest trash talker — only to then turn around and win The Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award. It’s like the football gods can’t decide what to make of QB17.

What I see is many of the so called experts are unwilling to admit how wrong they were about Josh.

When he was drafted so many said the Bills made a huge mistake and took the "wrong" Josh. Where is Rosen these days?

His rookie year his completion percentage was only 52.8% and they all said he was never going to improve. So what did he do? He went out and worked his ass off and the next year was at 58.8%, and then in his 3rd year he posted a mark of 69.2%, 4th best in the league. He hasn't been below 63.3% since.

After that he continued to defy all his detractors and it seemed every game he played he was breaking another record or setting another "first".

Still that wasn't enough. He had arguably his best season in 2023-24. NFL leading 4830 total yards, NFL leading 44 total TD's, only sacked an NFL low 24 times. But they said he turned the ball over too much...

Hmmm...challenge accepted.

This year, 8 total turnovers. Less than Lamar. Less than Burrow. Less than Mahomes. less than Goff. Less than Daniels.

Keep telling him what he can't do.

What he'll never be.

He is the MVP.

There's only one thing left for him to accomplish.

Doubt him.

Please.

Every chance they get, Eagles should clean Mahomes' clock. A penalty would be well worth it especially on one of his cheese-ball slides or side-line slow-ups. Hit him hard early and often.

Easier said than done he is a slimey little weasle

You can get tossed from the game for an egregious foul so it better be someone you don`t need

On a sadder note NFL legend and former Bears and Bills Coach Dick jauron has died he was 74.

He coached the Bills for just over 3 seasons going 7-9 each season and was the longest tenured coach after HOF legend Marv Levy only surpassed since by McD.

DJ as he was affectionately known never had a winning season with the Bills and helped coin such infamous online user names such as.. 7-9 forever

He had more success with the Bears his first HC gig leading them to a 13-3 season in his first year and Coach of the year honors.

He then had 3 straight losing seasons 6-10...5-11 and you guessed it 7-9

RIP Skeletor you will have an awesome roster in Heaven and will go undefeated from now on.

There would be no MVP controversy this year if they (AP Voters)would have voted properly in 2023.

Purdy or JA17 would have been worthy but they almost made Lamont an unanimous selection in 2023 with MEH stats(49-1 voting Ja17 got the 1) and it wasn`t Buffalo`s Vic Carruci it was the FTN`s Aaron Schatz

Lamont did not deserve the award or 49 first place votes( read below excerpt from article)

All of this would be completely cool with most observers had 2023 not happened the way it did. In 2023, Lamar Jackson became MV2 (doesn’t have the same ring to it) after being 15th in the NFL in passing yards and sixth in touchdown percentage. He was fourth in QBR, fourth in passer rating, fourth in average net yards per attempt, ninth in EPA per play and ninth in DVOA.

In fact, he didn’t lead the NFL in a single meaningful quarterback metric. But his team won, they won a lot, and they won against good teams. Baltimore was the one seed in the AFC, and he was the starting quarterback.`

100% agree. If he’s gonna play stupid games, he deserves a stupid prize. Tom Brady has called out all these QB’s sliding late this year and getting clocked. He’s on the defenses side when that happens.

I agree. Jackson would have gotten it this year if he didn’t get it last year by default. It was a weird year last year as there were no front runners. They just gave it to the QB with the best record. I think they shouldn’t emphasize record that much when voting for mvp. Sometimes the best player that year is on a bad team and even though they are playing well they can only get their team to .500. I’m an Eagles fan so no bias when I say this but I’m still mad Drew Brees didn’t get it in 2008. That man threw for 5k yards that year. No one had done that since Dan Marino did in the 80’s. Now there’s usually a QB that throws for 5k each year but it was a lot harder when Drew Bree’s did it back in 2008. He went 8-8 so he didn’t get MVP but that saints team had NO DEFENSE.

Personally I think Saquon should have gotten it this year and I would say that even if I wasn’t an Eagles fan. He did something this year that only happened a total of 9 times throughout the history of the NFL. What Allen and Jackson did this year pretty much happens every year in today’s pass happy league. If Saquon did this on a different team aside from the Eagles or Bills he would’ve gotten MVP I believe because his QB wouldn’t have vultured all his TD’s (Saquon got tackled at the 1 yard line more than any other back this year). He would have scored well over 20 TD’s and that would have helped him. When LT and Shaun Alexander had ridiculous TD totals they got MVP.
