I cant wait to see the BUTTHURT when/if the HellCat bests the ZL1/GT500 on the road course by .150 seconds.

Its gonna be "oh its only .150 seconds faster with all that HP" when in reality those same ppl were saying it had no chance at all even with that 707hp.
the hellcat is awesome but it's not beating anything on a roadcourse.

Anything?

Seen someone in here say the 392 was faster around a road course than a SS. Im pretty confident the hellcat could take down at least an SS.

you realize I said "for the 1LE,Z28,ZL1 crowd" because they are the only ones who blather on about road course times because well getting worked in the 1/4 isn't something they want to talk about.

I have a ZL1 and road courses mean nothing to me. If they did I would have traded for a Z/28.

When you have a bud with and they want to know if your hot rod is fast, what do you do? You mash the go peddle for a short lic.
I don't know how anyone could possibly knock a 707hp factory car of any make and call themselves a car guy. Guess I will never get Fanboyism no matter what brand you sleep with. I know I'm signing up for one and I'll park it along side my ZL1 unless it ruins me for it.

Look at the small percentage caring about buying a car for the road course. Most people care about 1/4 mile and the Hellcat will be a beast to contend with.

I am waiting on final MSRP but if HELLCAT comes in at 59K or low 60's it is a far better value then the ZL1.

Uh, why do you ppl bring up the obvious? Ford mustang ppl wine when ppl bring up track times! GT/boss /GT500 owners only wanna talk about track! So lets not act like mustang owners don't always blather about track times because they're always getting well baked on the road course!

(AEP11) Wow! Are you comparing a SS to a 10k dollar more car ? And wow! You. have to be kidding me by comparing a SS to a more than likely 30k dollar more car? Where's the reasonable or realistic comparison! Real smart! Of you're going to pick the 392 , you would need to put it against the 1LE! As far as handling goes! Thank God I caught that!

I don't disagree. it's meant to be a drag car. I never said it was meant to handle well.

I will bet you $500 that this Hellcat won't come nowhere near $59,000, not even low 60s! That's to a gift and a dream! You want 100 plus HP for the same price as a ZL1? If it was that price than yea , it would be a better value! And would have to hold up like the ZL1 .

"just fine"? probably, for most of us. most cars handle just fine. but it won't be exceptional.

Yea, sure! With the price of the 392 being 52k+ You would think the Hellcat with 200+ more HP would be only 8k more?
