Either the news you watched is misrepresenting data or they've got their numbers mixed up...

Its from the AP and Fox news and pretty much every interwebz news site. Maybe they meant Feb?

Yeah I just looked it up, you think a bunch of people with problem toyotas are trading them in on new ones that don't have the problem and the dealers are cutting them a better deal? that could skew the numbers alot..
Then again after hiding all the problems for so long would it be past them to overstate the sales early? and Why March when Feb sales were down 9%...It really does not make much sense..

Just found something...Nothing is "concrete" yet. There may have been a spike -- but this info was sourced from a toyota 'official'....knowing them, I wouldn't doubt they fudged some number to increase confidence in their broken brand.

Maybe it was a 50% increase in accelerator pedals?

Do we have possibly the dumbest citizens in the world? Seriously, toyotas stock hasnt even taken a hit yet. If this was Chevy it would be the final curtain.

On a side note, I wonder how long until lawsuit happy people start smashing their toyotas into cars/buildings/people and then say they couldnt stop. If it didnt happen already.

I think they were up in Canada, but definitely down by 9% in the US
