The best way to get over someone, is to get under someone else. A camaro can help you with that

granted its not an ultimatum by the woman but rather i guess a choice of which you can afford. I know that sounds kinda wrong or wierd but having such a high car payment is straining my relationship.

we got into a huge fight tonight. needless to say i was pretty much kicked out...

What are your payments on a 2LT 6M?? They should be around $600 or less. If you bought a car that you can't afford and it's causing stress every hour of your life, it's time for the car to go. I'm not being preachy but I've been in your shoes, if the car causes that much stress, worry, and anxiety, it just ain't worth it. Trust me.. you can ALWAYS buy another car..

NO, the Rev limiter is not set to 118MPH... and YES, driving in this manner does affect MPG...

Zactly!! Or.. I should say depending on your interest rate, down payment, etc.. mine are less than $500.. my point was that depending on how you're spending your dough.. 500-600 should not be that big of a deal.. unless you're so strapped you shouldn't have bought it in the first place.. either way, it's not worth the stress to keep something you can't afford especially when they are reselling so well..

I appreciate your input but while it may look like ive decided to sell the car because of her, its more of because of what she made me realize. at this point in my life i cant really afford it. thats the bottowm line no matter what happens with me and this girl.

i appreciate the input and agree with alot of what you said

500 month. and while its not crazy stressful, living at my moms because i cant afford an apartment is more stressful.

Yea that would be more stressful. Definitely worth while to take the time to get on your feet. If you're going to come out of the deal behind however, maybe worth while to see if you can sort it out and keep the car?

Thats a tough one to be in.

At the end of the day, you have to know your limits and the strain of lack of funds can do to a relationship. I dont care what you say, you need a certain amount of money to keep you happy, Love by itself will not keep you happy. Money by its self will not make you happy, YOU MUST HAVE A BALANCE.

It appears you dont have a balance and you should/could have seen the toll it was taking on her/relationship and talked about how to resolve it with her. She sees the car as a diversion from her and a money pit in her eyes.

Women(most) are very future orientated, men are more now orienated and need instant gratification. She sees the car as a drag on finances and killing a future that she has in her head like a new place/family etc etc.

If its causing you this much trouble and you still ache for HER, do I really need to tell you what to do?

BTW, she better be worth it or I'll kick your ass over the decision your gonna need to make lol!!!!

you are exactly right, that is pretty much what she said. the only thing i dont agree with is that i should have realized. i think if something is bothering her so bad she needs to come to me, and not wait to let it build up and then throw it in my face in a fight.

like i said im not doing it for her but if i was she is so very very very very very very worth it.

+1

My Dad told me this quote after my very first boyfriend from high school broke up with me AND broke my heart...these are good words to live by...

"If you love someone, set them free, if they come back, they are yours, if they don't, then they never were".....don't know if I have the EXACT words right, but it is so true...

Good luck to ya, buddy....the 'right one' is out there and will accept you JUST THE WAY YOU ARE, Camaro and all, if not, maybe she isn't 'the one', and better to find out now, instead of years down the road where it could hurt even more...:(

Keep us posted, we care...
