The 98-04 GSes were with the SCed V6 were nice sleepers and I like thier interior (my parents have a 2000 LS) better than the 2000 GTP I had. Not this would smoke the sced car, not to mention it may actually handle good. One good thing about the 4 banger over the V6 is that it hould be less weight on the nose and give it better weight distribution.

My Grandparents had the top Buick

I remember i used to look at every Buick driver, like 90% of the time it was a person who was 65+,

the la Crosse and Regal are so dramatically different looking from the 90s Buicks in a great way

Coupla quick points.. as I'm late to the party.

The GS is not the GNX... the GNX is still a possibility with it getting a 335HP version of the 3.0L Turbo. The GS was always (post GNX) available in the Regal all the way until the last one was BUILT... in Summer 2004.

295 lbs of torque with 255HP is gonna be FUN AS HELL .

The Cobalt SS Turbo 260/260 was a helluva runner.. putting up 0-60 times in 5.4-5.7 seconds. In the press release GM states that the GS will be capable of 0-60 in under 6 seconds... which I read as 5.8-59 secs with this engine combo... I think it should be noted that the OPEL INSIGNIA OPC does 0-60 in 5.8secs. as well... with 325HP more.

What U have to also realize is that because this is essentially the same engine that was in the Cobalt/Solstice/Sky/HHR HI-PO versions... Stage Kits are already available. A quick click of the mouse and U will be able to add about 40 HP for less than a $G.

My wife just saw this pictures and needless to say... a decision on her Saab 9-3 Aero replacement has now hit ANOTHER hiccup.

SO EFFIN SEXY!!!! and they are doing it with lil engines that CAN

The 2.0LTurbo has a $650 kit from GM that boosts the power from 260HP/260 lbs to 290HP/ 340 Lbs. But I think the goal here is POWER and ECONOMY. I think that it would be a damn nice idea for GM to literally advertise the Regal GS along with this lil tidbit:

"Introducing the 255HP /295 lbs of torque 2011 Buick Regal GS... Upgradeable to 290HP/ 340 lbs at time of purchase from your Buick Dealer... just check the box... and go German hunting"

I just watched the NAIAS unveiling video for this car...apparently the AWD system in this car can bias the torque to mostly the rear wheels...That's cool!

That engine cover clearly reads "V6 Turbo."

According to our head editor at GMI, the GS is still in the works and this engine could still make it to production.

No pricing yet. Technically, it hasn't even been confirmed for production (although it's a no-brainer).
I have seen that somewhere before.... 2010 SRX 2.8 Turbo V6...?

Also sounds extremely similar to the Haldex AWD system used in the new '10 SRX! (The SRX does this exact same thing under heavy throttle.)

I think Buick's got its mojo back!

Looks like a typical GM car with an updated nose.

Someone posted here earlier about it being an Opel. The Opel has gotten rave reviews! I am driving a Passat these days and this car could replace the VW. This thing looks outstanding and is supposed to drive even better. I LOVE the seats. I'm pretty tall and I can never find seats that fit me. The Audi seats and BMW seats with the bottom extensions are wonderful.

Think about this guys....go into a Buick dealer and ask to order the Manual transmission, and look at the guys face.

I LOVE this car. I had an Opel Vectra in Germany (precurser to the Opel Insignia) and it was the best car I have ever owned, it would cruise at 130 mph all day long on the Autobahn.

I will DEFINITLY be test driving a GS version, if they make it.
