Perhaps it's my age showing but, I'm not opposed to this at all!

There should be additional license classifications. They do it with Motorcycles. Should do it with cars and even full size trucks/SUV's over 5000 lbs. Perhaps it's additional endorsements on the license. HP, Weight, RWD, Performance?

As fast, powerful, and heavy as cars have gotten I don't see any reason we shouldn't be expected to prove that we can handle these vehicles.
Ohh and RV's too!

I'm not old and it would be awesome. I also can't wait for auto-driving cars so everyone who's afraid or too distracted to drive effect me less on the road. So long as they are programmed to merge onto highways correctly. Hint, the correct way is not at 40mph where traffic is going faster than 65.

A license that says you can drive a Smart Car and also a Dodge Viper is a useless license. Little more than a driver registration to go along with your vehicle registration.

Yeah, i'm not sure what is happening. It is certainly my own perception that big trucks (especially lifted ones) are even more agressive, but it is my own experience, can't say it is true for everyone.

I had a dude on the highway the other day in a lifted truck not want to let me in "his" lane. I had just gotten on I25 and was making my way over to number 1 lane, he was well back but as soon as I put my blinker on, yes I use my blinkers, he sped up, but I got in anyway, he was pissed, cuz how dare I get in his lane. I continued to the number 1 lane, as he got up besides me he brandished a large bowie knife. Of course he didn't know I carry a 9mm.

Earlier today at lunch I spent an hour watching Mustang idiot compilations on youtube. While I did search for the Camaro iditos as well, it looks like a 10:1 ratio of dumbass Mustang drivers to Camaro drivers. Not sure if it's the car itself, but it looks like the Mustang loses traction/handling a heck of a lot easier than a Camaro.

There were some other "Holy F" moments with other sports cars as well that I found as well. Vette owners think they can punch it anywhere and keep control of all that HP under the hood... NOT!

Yeah, I think on a Camaro forum it is fun to make the case about the mustang's ability to find the wall, but the reality is that the Mustang doesn't have a monopoly on "idiot" drivers.

Good grief!! Yeah I carry as well but not always... maybe I should more often. Christ man

And definitely the lifted trucks are the worst offenders

I was driving to Tampa on I-4W getting onto I-275N in the right lane (only lane to exit to I-275). Some dick in a 16 or 17 Mustang doing at least 60 cuts across 3 lanes of traffic where I-4 is ending, through the line-split median for the off-ramp and "squeezes" into the line of traffic getting onto I-275N. At this point he is maybe 8 cars ahead of me.

Everyone shuffles onto I-275 and I get out into the center then left lane and I'm up to speed at 75MPH with no cars near me. The Mustang is stuck behind some slow truck with a car to his left so can't go anywhere. About a mile down the road, here he comes weaving in and out doing at least 90 coming within inches of many vehicles. I'm still in the left lane and it's now 4 lanes (1 being left, 4 being right), with the 5th right lane being an Exit Only. He gets into that lane about 1/8th of a mile from the exit to get around 2 cars and barely misses the front end of the lead car while trying to avoid the barricades of the off-ramp. He proceeds to shoot over to lane 2, guns it, then slams on the brakes to shoot back over to lane 4 and off the next exit ramp still easily doing 60. I just hung back in lane 1 when all this was going on and in total disbelief that he didn't hit anyone. This all happened over a 2 to 3 mile stretch.

I know I've seen idiot Camaro drivers too, but this guy was just a f'n dumbass.
Happens all the time right there. Last night, same area, a Honda Fit was weaving in & out at about 100 mph

People like this don't deserve to drive, period.
Granted the Mustang Driver is an A$$HAT!

But let's call the people that line the streets (with their little kids) waiting to watch this exact thing, Morons too!

Interesting that the "Z/28" test drivers were wearing full fire suits and hans restraints...

Gives you an idea of the speeds they were anticipating.

A Honda Fit can go 100? So wtf is wrong with the Fits around here? Can't seem to go over 30, anywhere, ever.
