I probably would have just chased him down in my monte..... going 101 mph in a 70, unknowingly, because the car just kind of glides up to those speeds.

At least you weren't going 110mph and were closer to 99. Lmao!

The truth is, I feel that some of these gun owners are just LOOKING for a reason to kill someone. That's why having all these gun owners running around is scary.
Looking to kill someone? That got to be the most idiotic statement I've ever read!
Do you know how many concealed weapons license holders are in the State of Texas alone? Have you ever been the victim of a violent crime or robbed at gun or knife point and waited 30 minutes for the cops to come?
The mindset of most concealed weapon permit holders is that I will DEFEND my life as well as my familes life in the event some stupid ass like this tries to harm us. PERIOD end of sentence! I have carried ever day of my life since I was 21. I have drawn my weapon once when I accidently cut off a car of gangbangers in Dallas and two got out and attempted to get in my truck. I politely unlocked the doors and said "come on in" as I showed them the business end of my concealed carry weapon. ALL BULLSHIT stopped right then! When law enforcement can guarantee mine and my loved ones safety and protection from idiots like that and those mentioned in this article, I'll stop carrying

Maybe they should have taken the time to teach him the difference between RIGHT AND WRONG, because with a wrap sheet that includes:

three past convictions for possession of stolen vehicles, one count of theft of a stolen vehicle and a single count of assaulting a law enforcement officer.
It was just time before he escalated to carjacking or killed a cop when confronted...

I believe in an eye for an eye! We're as a society too easy against criminals... That gentleman had every right to protect his property...

Firstly if somebody was stealing my car, I have no right to shoot. LTC isn't a hunting license for scumbags or a cop's badge

Secondly, even if I hit him, my car's getting damaged

Seems lose/lose to me

It is a shame people are so PASSIVE that they think they have no right to protect their OWN property... No one is asking anybody to go out of their way to harm anyone.... But these criminals are going out of their way to take YOUR property... I don't know about other people... BUT if someone was taking something of mine I would feel threatened and violated....For those who don't mind being a VICTIM.... Put an ad in the paper so the criminals can target you all... Cause obviously you don't care about YOUR belongings??? Or personal safety... If someone is BOLD enough to steal property from you they are also BOLD enough to take a life away also!!!

I'm told that it doesn't feel good after you shoot somebody. Just an FYI.

Also as an FYI if somebody breaks into my dump while I'm at home, they'd better watch out for the bayonet, let alone the rifle I'll have in my hands. But that doesn't mean somebody who wants my TV also wants to kill me. There's no correlation there; one doesn't prove the other. If I see the guy running across the street with my TV I am not a licensed executioner. I respectfully recommend that you know your legal risk before you start chasing a burglar down with the intent of killing him in the street. You may find yourself being accused of a serious crime.

Never have had any want or need to shoot someone... I was ALWAYS brought up to RESPECT my self and others... All I'm saying if someone has the tenacity to steal something from anyone, what stops them from coming back and taking more and what stops them from not causing you harm? If they don't RESPECT your property, they definitely won't respect you or your family... So if they steal from you they are capable of doing other unthinkable things as well... Ask anyone who has be burglarized and see how long it took for them to get a good night sleep because they were in fear of the people coming back??? No one deserves the right to take away your feeling of being safe. So it's a no brainer that someone would feel threatened... Then to hear this person was a "GOOD" boy?? Give me a break... Good people don't steal things and have criminal records a mile long... He's a good boy.... He just doesn't follow the laws and has no respect for others... But he's a good boy... Yay right???

Also the correlation between a thief and a killer are closer than you think... They both have no RESPECT... One for property... The other for life... I'm not willing to try to figure out what they're thinking and how far they will go... Are you willing to? That's the question you have to ask yourself... I have too much to lose... Example.. My family and their sense of security... Usually I find that the passive people are the ones that have never experienced being robbed.... Believe me it changes your beliefs when your children can't sleep.. Because if you want to believe it or not that person that stole your TV, took more than that from your family.... The mental toll is something that never is thought of till it happens to you???? Just food for thought....

Breaking and entering into an occupied dwelling carries with it an implicit threat of violence, or at least the reasonable assumption of such.
