Actually the C7 is a tick heavier than the base C6, its in one of the interviews. The lightening of the chasis was offseted in other areas.

Pay attention to Tom Peters talking about sharing features/tech across platforms...

I've had two hardcore Ford guys tell me the new Vette left them breathless. It's going to be an amazing car. If you are tired of the good people on C5 then thats okay. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

When ppl start to take things personal from this site it's seriously time to do a self-check, delete your account and seek the nearest counselor you can find. I'll be more than happy to pay for your first consultation. Not a Corvette enthusiast but it looks good, hard to deny that.

I like the SRT Viper a tad bit more. Setting aside my Camaro I have been a Dodge fan for 11 months.

- The two cars are intrinsically related. Most fans of the Camaro can and will appreciate what's going on with the Corvette, whether or not they like it: because what's happening in Corvette world may yet be happening in Camaro world soon...It'd be a little silly to try and stifle that, it's not as though they're acting like the Mustang trolls of old. But we created a Corvette site for those people to enjoy...

- This is the general automotive/other cars section...you posted it in the general Camaro forum. So if your concern is that the site is become less Camaro focused - might I ask why you did that?

- Camaro5 has stayed Camaro5 besides some technical mergers to keep things simple on the back end....(notice the lack of a "Corvette" section or something like that). If you don't like Corvettes, you can browse the Camaro5 forums and don't ever have to be see it (unless you're in this section)

Not when the Vette is hitting the home page thrice a week. Had to twist arms to get our 90-Camaro gathering on the homepage. Just saying.

- The Camaro is entering a little slump in "super-wow" excitement that may last until the new generation starts leaking information...and at that point I can almost guarantee attention will shift yet again to our favorite car.

I'm sorry you're not seeing this site as a "Camaro site" anymore...but we are.

You will be missed if you left...but I don't want to try and "force" you to stay, because that never works well...consider what I said above. Sleep on it...
Slept on it. Gonna try not to "let the door hit me".

You fellas take care.

Fan boys fight to the death as always. Failure to see the true nature of things...as it shows soo often in the site. C5 used to be nothing but gen5 camaro info and talk. There are plenty of Chevy sites for everyone to talk and suck the nuts off the new C7. Not C5. I agree with revo on its design and even more so on its all of a sudden take over on a camaro web site. You think any of the vette forums did the same when Gen5 came out? Maybe a little but not the extent of how's it's been on here. You guys think this thread is a fail? I say this site has become a fail imo.

Too much here... plus isn't this the General Automotive + Other Cars Discussion section Not the General Automotive + Other Cars Discussion Except C7 section?? Instead of the negativity, why not celebrate at the positives about what GM/Chevrolet is bringing forth to the consumers? After all, the Corvette is still in the same family tree as the Camaro last time I checked.

I wouldn't leave just because a few people act like A-holes when your opinion doesn't line up with theirs. Like I said, I'm not a fan of the new vette's looks either and I don't give a rats a$$ what anyone thinks of me for saying it. In the real world outside of Camaro5, there are many people that share my opinion.

I guess this is another reason as to why Camaro5.com and Corvette7.com shouldn't have been merged. Because of this crap right here.

If you don't like the car, great. If you do, great. This mindless bickering like 10 year olds is getting you guys nowhere. Just accept that people have different opinions and move on.

I think we need to keep some things in perspective. Both sites are owned by Tran and I think we can cut him a little slack for trying to get a new site up and running. We wouldn't have Camaro5 without him and many others. I like the new Vette and personally don't have a problem seeing it on here but I can see both sides of the complaint. There are lot more horrible things in this world to worry about than seeing a car you don't like on your favorite forum.
